Taranaki is a region with art located in many public places. Large sculptures, installations and statues make up the collection of outdoor artworks you can discover and admire. While exploring New Plymouth, take the self-guided trail established by the Art in Public Places Trust, which will lead you to several large works by renowned New Zealand artists such as Dale Copeland, John Reynolds, Michael Parekowhai and Len Lye.
