This qualification offers excellent employment opportunities, as schools are currently seeking skilled teacher aides. Classes are delivered by highly experienced primary and secondary teachers who bring extensive expertise to the classroom.
Our courses are designed to be engaging and interactive, combining theoretical knowledge with practical learning activities to build confidence and competence. You will develop the skills to support students in literacy and numeracy, as well as learn strategies to assist diverse learners and students with disabilities in the classroom.
The course includes a mandatory vocational placement, providing you with the opportunity to apply your skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in a real school environment.

If you’re not currently employed in industry, you’ll need to complete 100 hours of placement (around 6 hours per day during school hours), TAFE Queensland may be able to assist in arranging a suitable placement.
