My name is Karin, and I’ve been an expert in sexual and reproductive health education for over 20 years. Frustrated by the lack of interactive, evidence-based programs and the taboos surrounding these topics, I founded Taboobreaker to create modern, play-based tools that help young people transition to adulthood safely and confidently.
Creating a safe space where young people can ask questions and learn in a relaxed environment is crucial.
That’s why we developed the digital LOVE LAND Train-the-Trainer program - to empower adults to facilitate these conversations effectively and to make this education easily accessible to everyone.
Research shows that game-based learning motivates young people to understand responsible sexual health and develop essential life skills. LOVE LAND combines these elements, aiming to guide young people safely into adulthood.
Our vision relies on the support of individuals and organisations who believe in the potential of interactive education.
Our digital Train-the-Trainer program is currently in development, following successful evaluation by the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Stay in touch with us, and we’ll announce as soon as the program is ready to launch!

THE PROBLEM
Mental and sexual health education is a big global taboo
At a crucial point in their development, young people in most countries around the world struggle to access sound information about sexual and reproductive health and safety while being exposed to inappropriate digital content.
Many educators do not know how to address these taboo topics. In addition, schools, especially in low-income countries, often lack an according modern and comprehensive education curriculum.
This leads to life-changing consequences such as unwanted pregnancy, HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, as well as limitations on personal and economic potential for too many young people around the globe!
