Spring/Summer 2021 Competitive Racing Swimwear Print Designs

During my time working at Speedo, I was briefed with creating graphics that were edgy, psychedelic in nature and conveyed the need for fast dynamic movement. Aimed at the young adult to teen market I started playing around with Graphics that could portray this concept in playful ways. Distorting logo placement under water and lines on a page creating ‘glitch’ effects, I was able to transform the look and feel of typography.

Here I have introduced new elements of colour into my artwork to add a sense of energy and pop against the darker backgrounds. These colours can then be introduced into swimwear or sportswear digital prints.

Spring/Summer 2021 Junior Swimwear Print Designs

During my internship with Speedo, with the design team at Pentland Brands in Nottingham, specifically working on the Summer 2021 Speedo ranges. I was thrilled to be supported in taking a creative, physical design approach; using paints, marbling, photography through water and projection to create an exciting archive of material of which to bring forward into print designs. This made the process much more personal, using my creative license, I was able to input my passion for hands- on design to develop the graphics whilst responding to the range boards produced and approved by project managers.

This lightweight windproof jacket is made with GORE-TEX 100% recycled polyester material; offering durability, waterproof protection and breathability that's lightweight and easy to pack.

Inspired by heat dependent structures; the fabric will begin to grow, expand and shape around the neck and head when the temperatures drops to protect the wearer from the cold.

In collaboration with an animator, I was able to showcase my cycling top design on a 3D digital model, translating Flt technical drawings to map three dimensional form. Could this be the future of fashion?

Associated with fertility symbols such as the pomegranate, hers is a dualistic archetype that transforms from day to night, from the world to the underworld, from sweet pink to deeper reds.

Embroidery inspiration; links to mother earth, fertility, land and the wild.

Bits and pieces of the animalistic belief systems were incorporated to become a hybrid from of faith, adulating her as Oxun, the Brazilian opulent goddess of Gold.

ROMO Project: Concept Board Reflecting on the trends drawn from this years interior design trend ‘ Distant Shores’, I have designed and digitally printed a collection of fabrics for my live Autumn Winter ROMO interiors brief.

The collection entitled ‘Kalemie Roots’ is based on the natural growing exotic plants in the Democratic Republic of Congo. My collection of prints encompasses the feeling of travel and rhythm in a combination of half drop repeats of banana plants and geometric forms.
