FOR ONE YEAR, HIS RIGHT EAR WAS DEAF AND HIS RIGHT EYE BLIND. BOTH WERE HEALED.
MISSIONREPORT
BUGE & CHABE, ETHIOPIA JANUARY, 2025
Dear Friends!
We were able to conclude the year 2024 with two gospel campaigns in Ethiopia. We went to two places where there had never been a gospel campaign before: Buge and Chabe. We go everywhere we are invited, no matter how big or small the places are. Often these are places where no one has gone before, and we often see an amazing hunger for the Word of God in such places. In Buge and Chabe, we saw many healings and many people receiving the Holy Spirit. When we asked the people how many of them had already received the Holy Spirit, no one responded, even though we were on the grounds of a Pentecostal church.
When we preached about the baptism in the Holy Spirit on the last day, the Holy Spirit fell on them and it was like at Pentecost. The pastors were amazed at what they saw and had to admit that they had neglected the message about the Holy Spirit. My translator was the president of over 100 Baptist churches in the area, and I asked him if he was already baptized in the Holy Spirit, to which he replied in the negative.
It was as if God was sending us to these places to light a fire. The world needs to be taught how to receive Jesus, and the church needs to be taught how to receive the Holy Spirit. Following Jesus without the power of the Holy Spirit is like trying to swim without water.
We hope to be able to use our new sound system for the first time in January. Although we told the company in the US that the system had to be designed for 220 volts, they sent us components designed for 110 volts.
This is now being corrected. But we have good new equipment in Ethiopia that will serve us for many years and with which we will win many people for Jesus. By our standards, we are better equipped than ever before, be it the truck, the Landcruiser or now the sound system. We are very grateful to God and to all the mission partners who have helped us.
For 2025, we have planned 16 evangelistic campaigns in Africa. That’s more evangelistic campaigns than ever before, and we also need more finances than ever before, because prices are rising everywhere. In the name of Jesus, I thank all those who have helped us so far and ask you to continue to support us. We don’t know how much longer we will have the time and opportunity. The world is already talking about the next “p(l)andemic” but we pray that God will stop the enemy’s plans. The body of Christ is the key on earth to advance God’s plans and stop the devil’s plans. God has given His church on earth authority to bind and stop Satan’s plans and to release and fulfill God’s plans. The authority is in the name of Jesus.
May 2025 be your best year yet. May the Lord bless you more than ever before! May all your plans and highest expectations be fulfilled. May what would normally take 10 years happen in 1 year. God is a God of acceleration and multiplication and a God who performs miracles.
Yours in Christ!

The golden era of the Church: Gold and glory!
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1, 2. “For I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations will come; and I will fill this house with glory (riches), says the Lord of hosts. For my silver and my gold are mine, says the Lord of hosts. “For the glory (wealth) of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts; and in this place will I give peace (blessing, prosperity), saith the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:7-9.

The word glory is found in the Bible for the first time in Genesis 31:1, where it means wealth. “Jacob has taken all our father’s possessions and has acquired such riches (such glory).” However, it was the blessing of God that made Jacob rich. When the people of Israel left Egypt, they demanded silver and gold from the Egyptians and left with the riches (the glory) of Egypt.

Jesus is not coming back for a weak, small, poor, sick church. Quite the opposite. He is coming back for a glorious, strong, healthy and blessed church. Gold represents wealth and also the glory of God. God says that He will bring the treasures of all nations (that is, their resources and finances) into His house. Why? So that we can win the world for Jesus, because evangelism costs money. We not only need money to win the world for Jesus, but also the power of God, His presence and His glory. Jesus said to Martha, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?” Jesus manifested the glory of God by raising Lazarus from the dead. At the wedding at Cana, Jesus performed his first miracle by turning water into wine. “This beginning of his works did Jesus…and shewed forth his glory,” Luke 2:11. Jesus gave us his glory so that we can reveal it: “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them…” John 17:22.

If we could win the world with words, it would have been won long ago. What is missing are the demonstrations of power of the Holy Spirit: gifts of healing, the gift of faith, the working of miracles and all other gifts of the Spirit. Jesus commanded His disciples to observe all that He had commanded them. What was that? He commanded them to go and cast out devils, to heal every disease and sickness, to raise the dead, and to preach the gospel.
At the end of time, Jesus will have a church on earth that is like Him and will show the world the ministry of Jesus. It will be a church where Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17-23 will be fulfilled. This church knows God, knows its calling and knows the overwhelming greatness of His power. Not the whole body of Christ will be like that, but 1% would already be enough. There will always be spiritual babies, carnal Christians, and you don’t send babies to war. Gideon’s army consisted of 300 men that God could work with, out of an army of 30,000. That’s 1%. Caleb and Joshua were the only two people who could enter the Promised Land. All the rest (about 3 million) died in the wilderness and never saw the fulfillment of what God had actually prepared for them. They could be compared to carnal Christians. Many are ready for heaven when they die, because they believe in the blood of Jesus, but they die as spiritual babies and God could only use them to a limited extent. Jesus was the image of God and He came to reveal God’s glory, John 1:14. “We have seen His glory, the glory of the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

The church of the last days will be a church that not only has the resources to win the world for Jesus, but also possesses God’s power, authority and glory to show the world that Jesus is alive and risen. We will not win the world with words only. Paul said that he did not come with mere words, but that his words were followed by demonstrations of the Spirit and of power, so that their faith would rest on the power of God. 1 Cor. 2:4-5.

We, the body of Christ, are called to reveal God’s glory as Jesus did. “For God has shined in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God. We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us,” 2 Corinthians 4:6-7. We are the light of the world, reflecting the glory of God. Until Jesus returns, God will have a body on earth that is like Jesus. “Beloved, now we are children of God, and what we shall be has not yet been made manifest. But we know that when he is made manifest, we shall be like him,” 1 John 3:2-3. This means that we are being transformed more and more into his likeness, and when he comes we shall be like him.
