Canadian Western Agribition Introduces New President and Board Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) introduced a new leadership team at its Annual General Meeting, Friday, April 12 with the election of its new Executive Team and Board of Directors. In addition, CWA also introduced a new President. Reed Andrew of Regina, SK was elected President of CWA. Andrew has been a volunteer at CWA for 35 years. He is a long time commercial cattle exhibitor and served for 7 years on the CWA Board of Directors prior to being elected to the Executive Committee in 2007. While on the Board, Andrew served as Commercial Cattle Chair, Beef Chair, Trade Show Chair and was instrumental in launching the brand new Grain Expo in 2012. This is the first time in the history of CWA a second generation President has been elected. Barry Andrew was President 1980-1981 and 32 years later Reed is following in his late father’s footsteps. “It’s a real privilege and honor to be elected President of Agribition,” said Reed Andrew, President of CWA. “Agribition has been a part of our family since the beginning. It is exciting to be a part of the show as it moves forward.” Along with Reed Andrew as President, also elected to the Executive Team are: Vice President: Stewart Stone of Regina, SK; Members at Large: Bruce Holmquist of Kinistino, SK; Curtis Kuchinka of Regina, SK; and Bryce Thompson of Regina, SK; Past President: Bryan Hadland of Weldon, SK. Members of CWA also elected the following representatives to the Board of Directors to serve a two year term: Barry Young of Carievale, SK; Blake MacMillan of Nokomis, SK; Richard Harries of Regina, SK; Bob Jackson of Sylvania, SK; Courtney MacDougall of Regina, SK. Directors already on the Board, serving the second of their two year term are: Elmer Eashappie of Regina, SK; Doug Fee of De Winton, AB; Chris Lees of Arcola, SK; Carla Schmitt of Arborfield, SK; Jason Williams of Hanley, SK.
