Welcome to Maple Line Farm and our first Autumn Tradition Black Angus sale. Maple Line Farm was established in 1845. We are proud to be the fifth generation to farm the land at 3320 Bradburn Road in Blackstock, Ontario. The types of crops and breeds of cattle have changed over the past 167 years but our philosophy has always remained the same – to take pride in what we do and to treat everyone with fairness, honesty and respect. Our first purebred Black Angus cattle were purchased in 1986 and our herd has been growing ever since. Careful selections of cows with strong pedigrees, quiet dispositions and outstanding maternal traits have contributed to a strong cow base. Replacement heifers are selected with the same diligence to ensure the quality of our cattle remain consistent and productive. We have purchased high quality bulls and females from leading breeders across the country. Dateline, Grid Maker, Density and Power Play have all been major contributors to the quality cattle that we raise. We have great success when using herd sires raised from our own breeding. Our sales of yearling bulls have increased each year - both to new buyers and to many repeat customers. After years of building the herd we feel the time is right for a production sale. Our cows are ranch raised and ready to produce. Whether you are a new breeder or have a well-established herd these cattle will fit right in to your program. We welcome our good friends who are joining us for our first sale at Maple Line Farm. The Ormiston, Moore, Watson and Hill families are all fellow producers who share our philosophy and confidence in the Angus breed.
