We want to invite everyone to the Southland Bull Sale. We are very excited for this year’s set of bulls. They bring a lot of common sense attributes to the table. These cattle are bred to work in our environment. They have excelled through many consecutive years of drought.

Good cattle will always get you through tough times and I believe we are entering a new year with lots of promise and optimism.

Welcome to the Southland Annual Bull Sale on March 1, 2024, at Heartland Livestock, Swift Current Saskatchewan.

Featuring Angus and Charolais.

Southland and the Cadieux Family are household names in the cattle circles of southwest Saskatchewan. Running on the hardgrass hills of Shaunavon, they have been a source for farmers and ranchers supplying value-added herd bulls.

Initially they were entirely Angus but had a demand for terminal bulls, so Shane added and expanded with Charolais.

Angus are headlined by sons of Guarantee who adds high performance values for yearling weight and weaning weight while maintaining the maternal values we are accustomed to with Angus cattle. The Poss Deadwood sons add the calving ease factor.

The Charolais are represented by sons of Arctic Blast, an own son of Jehu. You will truly appreciate the ruggedness of the whites. Muscle, hair, testicle and gentle temperament, these bulls will add pounds at weaning.

Feel free to stop by the ranch at Shaunavon any time prior to the sale and preview the lineup and have a peak at the mothers or give Shane a call to discuss bulls for your breeding intensions.
