

In Project 1, it splits into 3 parts. The 1st part P1A is Selection of Goals (Group) which each group is required to select one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to extract issues and propose suitable programsthatareinlinewiththeselectedgoal.Outputwillbepresentedin2(Two)A2sizepapers-----NarrativeIssueBoardandNarrativeProgramBoard.
For our group, we have selected the SDG 10 Reduce Inequalities as our selection of goals for our entire project. Wewerethenresearchedonthetopic.BasedontheSDG10
Reduce Inequalities, our group has identified the issues related to the inequalities and discrimination in the workplaceintermsofgender,racismandhierarchy.
Therefore, to reduce inequalities in the workplace in terms of gender, racism and hierarchy, we have proposed some suitable programs into the workplace such as the open plan office concept, staff training program, collaboration activitiesfordifferentgenderandraces,etc.

The 2nd parts of Project 1 are P1B Narrative Program through Objects. The proposed site is located in Bangsar, PAM Center Jalan Tandok. Each student is required to explore, identify, invent and activate suitable spaces and divert to a functional approach. Students will need to identify what they are designing andbegintodeveloptheirprogrammenarrative,throughobjects.
For my project, I have designed an object named COLAH-lah whichaimstoreduceinequalitiesintermsofracism.
The 3rd parts of Project 1 are P1C Program Diagrams. The outcome of the program diagram board is to develop and produce the concept design of the overall center space, the activities in the space, the sequenceandflowofthespaceinthegivensitethePAMCentre.
Each group is required to build a physical model of the PAM building at a scale of 1:100 using suitable andsturdymaterial.
Each student will later be required to produce a spatial model at the same scale (1:100) for the proposed interior areas. The model must be able to detach itself and reattach in the Building/Site Modeldoneingroups.
For our group, we distributed the work based on the 3 floors that we selected for our final project. For my part, I was taking the basement, ground floor, 1st floor and the roof top floor. This was the outcome of the PAM buildingmodel.
Based on Narrative Programming and the focused object designed in Project 1, students are required to design an appealing work space individually at the level chosen. Create an engaging workspaces that lead to transformation and growth, shift the culture towards engagement and productivity. Rethinking the power of culture and space for insightful experience, a space that boost employee engagement and vitality by the creative use of space, flow with powerful effect on the human psyche. The Unity Hub shall be a new and dynamic workspace for work, sparking creativity,communication,collaborativeenvironmentandinnovation.
Based on the SDG 10 Reduce Inequalities, the design concept of my final project was about anti-racism and promoted the equality of the ethnicity in Malaysia. The Unity Hub is a platform to raise the awareness on racial discrimination issues in the workplace. The Unity Hub aims to unite everyone with different races to enjoy working, crafting, baking, cooking, eating togetherhappilyandpeacefullyinMalaysia.
In the beginning of this IAD4 module, I was overwhelmed with the module brief and the tight schedule planned for the semester. I was surprised that the 1st project of this module was a group project and individual project as well. It was a big challenge for me to complete this moduleassemester4wasnoteasyforme.Inthissemester,Ihavelearnt thatteamwork,communicationandtimemanagementwerecrucialand importantinordertoproduceabetteroutcomeofmyworks.Bymaking the site model, i have learnt what is laser cutting and 3d printing, my model was mainly done by laser cutting. In the final project, i was hard tocomeupwithgoodideasandgotfrustratedwhichbadlyaffectedmy performance and have less progress to show during tutorials. However, with the support from my family, my tutors and my peers, i tried my best to produce the final outcome of my project as much as possible i can. This semester final review was different from previous semester as it was a physical presentation. This was so interesting, we have to print out all our works and pin-up in the classroom, but the cost for printing all the boards with foamboard backing was quite costly. Overall, the 1st physical final review presentation was a great experience for me and I have improved my presentation skill and my confidence. All in all, thanks to the lecturers and tutors in guiding me and my peers who supportingmethroughoutthissemester.Ihopeicanpassthissemester whereby i will improve and enhance my design skills, 3d modelling technical skills, time management skills etc. for my upcoming semester.
