I was very happy to participate in the Insights breakfast meeting on 8 September 2022 here in Bangalore. It was a very good interaction with a group of people that Synergia Foundation had put together from different walks of life. And we spoke about how the India-China relationship is devel oping and also the larger question of geopolitics today. It was an excellent initiative by Synergia Foundation. I wish them well for the future. Thank You.
India has not taken any predetermined steps to create the border sit uation that we are now facing. Trade continues between the countries as hitherto fore, with 2021 seeing the highest level. Our leaders have been reg ularly meeting in forums like BRICS and SCO. India, on its part, has taken a very practical approach to the relations despite the obvious deficit in trust. This lack of trust can only be restored slowly through communication at all levels while maintaining peace and tranquility at our mutual borders.
