There is a story told at the end of every year about the night when the North winds slow, and time itself seems to pause.
On that night, they say Santa and Mrs. Claus step out of their workshop long after the lanterns dim and the snow has settled into its softest silence.
Not to check lists.
Not to count gifts.
But simply to be, in the moment.
They walk together through the calm — watching the lights in distant towns, listening to the hush of a world reflecting on its own year — joined by their devoted elves, their team.
Every year, this moment matters.
But this year, it matters more.
Because even at the North Pole — where tradition runs deep and routine is sacred they’ve understood something quietly powerful: the future is asking all of us to return to the essentials.
To care for our people.
To invest in what truly matters.
To build with intention.
To keep learning, keep improving, and keep moving forward with clarity and courage.

Mrs. Claus is the first to speak, her voice steady in the cold: “Next year, we begin again better than before.”
The elves nod. Santa smiles — not the big, booming laugh the world knows, but a small, knowing one. A smile born of experience, optimism, and trust.
They speak of the year ahead not in terms of gifts, but in terms of growth: how they will support their teams, strengthen their craft, refine how they work, and honor the people who believe in them. How excellence is not a wish — it is a discipline. And how the magic of Christmas has always come from one thing: people showing up with heart.
Before the night ends, Santa raises his lantern and says something the elves will remember long after the snow melts:
“The greatest gift we give is not in the sleigh. It’s in how we rise, how we invest in one another, and how we build the future together.”
And so they do.
With renewed purpose.
With gratitude for those who walk the journey beside them.
With hope real, steady, earned hope for the year ahead.

From our team to yours, thank you for your partnership, your trust, and your belief in what we build.
We enter the new year committed to investing in our people, our craft, and our shared success.
Wishing you a warm, peaceful, and inspiring holiday season.
The best is ahead.
As we turn from our Christmas Story to the stories that shaped Montel in 2025, we invite you to carry this spirit with you…!

One of our key achievements in 2025 was the launch of our enhanced Shelving on Casters product line, designed to make SmartShelf and Aetnastak units easier to move, configure, and adapt across environments.
Open Base units for SmartShelf and Aetnastak, designed with 12gauge steel bases and 5” swivel or rigid wheels, offering a 7” overall height and smooth mobility.

This updated line now supports:
Closed Base units for Aetnastak, providing recessed frames for increased stability and rigidity, and fully concealing wheels for a clean aesthetic ideal for double-face installations.

In the year ahead, R&D will continue to build on this momentum by focusing on supporting upcoming product launches, aligned closely with our Sales, Distribution, and Marketing strategies enabling our partners to enter new markets with confidence.
Originally intended for library environments, these mobile shelving units are now optimized for:
• factories
• warehouses
• distribution centers
• specialty industrial environments
• and any application requiring quick reconfiguration or mobile presentation

Montel is proud to share a major step forward in our vertical farming journey: a new national partnership with researchers from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) to advance a breakthrough technology for indoor berry production.
Thanks to significant support from the Weston Family Foundation’s Homegrown Innovation Challenge, Montel will host a dedicated pilot farm MoFarm where TMU’s pollinator-independent technology will be tested in real growing conditions.

This solution uses advanced airflow and microclimate control to transfer pollen without bees, addressing one of the biggest barriers to producing berries in controlled environments, especially at scale.
MoFarm, located next to our manufacturing facility in Montmagny, will serve as a living research platform where science and engineering meet to shape the future of Canadian food production.

This partnership reinforces Montel’s commitment to innovation, engineering leadership, and the advancement of high-value indoor farming markets and positions Montel at the forefront of solutions that will help growers produce reliable, year-round berries opening the door to new markets, new applications, and new opportunities for all of us in the years ahead

As we close this edition of MoNews, we do so with gratitude and with genuine excitement for what’s ahead.
2026 will bring new challenges, new momentum, and new opportunities for all of us
