TEAM REPORTS Mini Roos This was the first season of soccer for all of the U6C players. They played consistently throughout the season winning 15 games and only losing twice throughout the season as well as competing in the 5Sports Gala day. All of the boys tried their very best each game, showing fantastic soccer skills as well as resilience, teamwork, sportsmanship and most importantly excitement to be playing with their team each week. They showed their commitment by attending weekly training and games and putting 110% effort in every time.

From our trial game where the boys loved having a chat and socialising and forgot that they were supposed to be playing soccer the boys improved steadily throughout the season. They worked on passing the ball between them, darting around players to score goals, defending against the other team, skills in kicking the ball long and short distances and communicating with each other. Each of the boys, Jamie, Joshua, Aiden G, Aiden R, Cooper, Xander and Luca, improved their skills and confidence throughout the season to play extraordinarily well towards the end of the season and at their Gala Day. Jamie A special thankyou to our wonderful coaches Mel and Riley for working so hard to get the boys to where they were at the end of the season and our Manager Amy for her behind the scenes organisation. Also a big, big thankyou to all of the parents, grandparents and carers that assisted and supported the boys throughout the season with fruit at the games, field set up, BBQ duties and also off the field in making time to get the boys to and from training and games. Well done boys on a spectacular season of soccer!

The U6H boys team had a challenging start to the 2018 soccer season, however they never lost their spirit and kept trying hard. Their persistent, never give up attitude paid off as the season progressed, gaining more confidence with each game and finishing off with some big wins.

Lucas improved Tyson, Lincoln and Heston enormously this year in all aspects of the game. His explosive big kicks allowed him to score some glorious goals for the team, with celebrations to match. Always listening and eager to learn, it was great to see Cash’s ball skills and confidence evolve with every game he played. George, our master defender, was always ready to deflect the ball and saved numerous goals for the team. Tyson continued to learn and grow this season, displaying good movement across the field, and showing strength in defence. Lincoln, determined, energetic and highly competitive with a big boot, scored an impressive 57 goals this season. Lee improved both as a player and team mate this season, with some great kicks and exciting goals. Our fearless star in the making, Heston, will soon be a force to be reckoned with and is always keen to get in amongst the action.
