ABOUT
My name is Sydney Philbrook, and I am a current student at Wentworth Institute of Technology. I am in the process of getting my bacholers in Interior Design. When it comes to designing I am immesly inspired by nature and it’s beauty. I hope to tap into peoples emotions when entering spaces I design.
The intension is to take advantage of the natural light in the office spaces to transform them into bright, airy, and natural settings. By incorporating the array of vibrant colors displayed in the buisness signage into specific areas as well as adding organic shapes employees and staff will feel much more comfortable to collaborate and mingle.

AFTER ENTERING THE SPACE, THE OFFICE LOGO IS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE CONFRENCE ROOM DOORS TO CREATE DIVIDING PRIVACY FROM THE SOCIAL SPACE AND PRIVATE MEETING ROOM. TO THE RIGHT THERE IS A STAFF COFFEE BAR THAT CAN BE USED FOR GROUP MEETINGS AND STAFF FOOD STORAGE. TO THE LEFT THERE IS A LOUNGE SPACE FOR STAFF TO SOCIALIZE.

THIS WORK STATION AREA IS AN EXTENSION TO THE RIGHT OF THE STAFF BAR COFFEE SPACE. IT IS OPEN SO THE STAFF CAN FEEL OPEN TO SOCIALIZE WHILE ALSO WORKING COLLABORATIVELY. THE HANGING CHAIRS ON THE LEFT WALL IN THE RENDERING ARE BOTH COMFORTABLE AND SAFE FOR ANYONE.

THIS WORK STATION IS MORE PRIVATE THAT IN OTHER WORK STATION ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE OFFICE SPACE. THE PRINTING AREA IS FULL OF COLOR AND VIBRANCE DRAWN FROM THE BRAND LOGO.

BRAND IDEA
-Center the focus around the panini bar for customers to build their own panini.
-The flow of the restaurant will revolve around the “build your own panini” bar, while inccorporating curved bench seating, and organic shaped chairs.
-Create an atmosphere for students or busy office workers to grab a sandwhich and go or sit down.
-Use a bold teal, dark forest green, or bright coral colored tile on the walls with brown leather upolstry on all of the seats.
DIAGRAMS
The intention is to welcome local business men and women into a clean, bright, and natural place to take a break or continue work outside of the office while enjoying a freshly made panini. The relationship between the bustling area of Downtown Boston and the interior of this panini based restaurant is shown by the textures and colors of materials used. The contemporary verticality and rectilinear spacial organization reflects the modern highrise buildings in the surrounding area. The space will be memorable to the customers for multiple eye catching reasons. First, stairs cut through a wall revealing a white stone texture wall. Second, reclaimed wood is another natural and primitive element throughout the space making it feel much more inviting. Bold touches of teal against the natural finishes creates a contrast just as bold as the black and white marble floor tiling. From the fresh food to the Design, This downtown Boston restaurant will become a regular lunch spot for many business employees.

PANINI ASSEMBLY COUNTER
Before starting the assembly order process, there are two fridges that contain pre-made foods and homemade desserts (located on the bottom left of the rendering Above). The panini assebly order line flows from left to right and then straight back towards the back wall where the costomers then cash outat the end of the counter. On the back wall is a fridge with specialty non-alcoholic drinks for easy access when cashing out. The separation partitions allow for better flow organization for the customers.

The bottom dining area consists of an array of table sizes and types. Against the wall partition are three, two seat tables. Against the windows on the right are three, tri seat bar tops. Additionally there are two tables that sit six people in the center of the area. There is also a banquette seat in a quiet corner by the stairs.

The bottom lounge area is incoorporated to make the restaurant feel casual and inviting for customers to come and eat or take a break from their busy work day and hang out with friends or co-workers. The upholstery and textiles in the lounge area create a comfortable warm texture that balances out the hard and cold the tiling on the walls and floors.

BATHROOM & STAIRCASE
The bathroom consists of one ADA stall and two regular stalls. The materials from the rest of the restaurant are continued into the bathrooms.
On the right side of the restaurant before entering the bottom dining are is the staircase. The wall against the staircase is a delecate 3D white wall covering that mimics the chandeliers’ curvature throughout the restaurant.

The Mezzanine space is meant to area of the restaurant. On the left wall similar to the one in the bottom dining of the Mezzanine there is a booth vision is for it to be used by a group together for a meeting. On the back and two four top tables. The enclosed allows for it to be quiet and comfortable have quiet conversation amung themselves.
