Monday Night Social Club Ages 13 and up
Middle school students, high school students, and young adults from the special needs population can enjoy a variety of activities while meeting new friends in an informal, supervised format. Each week has a different theme or activity and special events are planned seasonally. e group will enjoy birthday celebrations, seasonal crafts, pool, air hockey, mini golf, games in the park and semi-annual holiday celebrations and dances. Please call the Parks & Recreation Department for more information.

Youth and Adult – Badminton Open Session Play Ages 10 and up
Enjoy playing the fastest racket sport – Badminton, with your family and others. Whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned player, please join us during “Open Session” play twice a week. All youth must always be supervised by an adult. Please bring your own racket and birdie. Birdies will not be provided for any of the “Open Session” play. Non marking shoes are an absolute must. Absolutely NO street shoes please.

*We have wonderful volunteers and contractors who support our open gym program. To ensure we respect their time, if no one is present for “Open Session” play for 30 minutes upon opening, the gym will be closed for the night.
Youth Badminton Training Ages 5–21
Experience the fastest racket sport in the world and train with former USA National Badminton Team member, Nikki Vered. Nikki has been playing for over 25 years and for the past 11 years he’s been the Program Director/Head Coach of Marblehead Youth Badminton, an established program in MA. He has produced multiple national and International champions and now hopes to start a competitive Badminton Club here in his home state of CT. is program is designed to provide quality badminton training by incorporating a variety of coaching techniques and drills that Nikki has learned and picked up along the way. You will learn the basics and fundamentals of Badminton, strategies and game play, as well as advanced technical skills, while at the same time exhibiting court etiquette and sportsmanship. Come join a fun, friendly, and competitive program that accepts all levels from Beginners to Advanced. (Ages 5yrs- 21yrs).

Jukido Jujitsu Ages 6 and up
Jukido is a traditional Japanese Jujitsu class teaching realistic self-defense. e techniques that a student will learn include throws, takedowns, arm locks, pressure points and strikes. Jukido stresses the seven codes of bushido: justice, courage, benevolence, politeness, truth, honor and loyalty. Safety and doing one’s best are always emphasized in class. Learn to Skate Program
Learn to Skate is a beginning ice skating program that is challenging and rewarding - but most of all, fun. Participation in the program will enable beginning skaters of all ages and abilities to learn the fundamentals of ice skating while teaching them the necessary skills that are used for their further skating advancement. Skate Rentals available for an additional $10 for each 4 week session, you must provide your own helmet.

Track Club Kids Grade K-8
Our low-key track and field program will put some spring into your step and build your confidence for other sports too. We meet for a twice a week fun-filled program of running, sprinting, hurdling and field events including the turbo-jav, high jump, long jump and softball throw. We will participate in track/cross country meets against other towns if the current health conditions allow it. We’ll learn some fundamentals of good health and exercise while getting into excellent running shape. A t-shirt is included. Please note that some organized track meets may fall on different days of the week than the program is typically scheduled.

Fitness Club (Grades 6-8, TE Students Only) R is indoor program is aimed at helping middle school students enhance their physical fitness and expand upon exercise and strength training knowledge. Students will be encouraged to create realistic fitness goals and then work with the instructor to create an individual workout.

Kinder Tap Ages 5-7
is class is an introduction to basic tap and jazz techniques. Rhythmic exercise enhances children’s memory, musical awareness, and coordination. Students will need their own tap shoes. Students must be entering or attending kindergarten or first grade.

Pre-Ballet Ages 3-5
Pre-Ballet is a wonderful introduction to the world of dance! We use imaginative games and mime to provide a sound foundation for future dance education.

Intro to Breakdancing and Hip Hop Ages 6-9
e focus of this class is on basic breakdance and hip hop skills. We use repetitive exercises that will enable the class to build strength and coordination while learning a fun hip hop routine to popular music.

Food Explorers - Baking Workshop!
Grades 2–5 Join Food Explorers for a fun evening of spring baking! You’ll get to use the cool and crafty cake pop-machine to bake up some tasty treats, and play some fun games about food. You’ll be making: Strawberry Shortcake Parfaits and Banana Pancake Pops! Each recipe is nut free but will contain dairy and eggs.
