GOOD EATS

Stone crab season is upon us and the best place to get it is from Steve's Stone Crabs. You can find them Friday through Sunday in the parking lot of Yankee Pedler. They arrive and set up shop from 10:304:30 (or until sold out). They have stone crab claws in season, gulf pink shrimp, and a variety of local fish. It is the freshest fish around unless you catch your own.

MARKET UPDATE

As your trusted real estate professional, it is my job to provide perspective when it comes to real estate issues. The most recent hot topic is the rising interest rates. The Federal Reserve uses interest rates to change the cost of money and as a mechanism to slow or speed up commerce The rising rates are being used as a brake, at the moment If you look at the historical graph below, rates are not going up, they're going back to normal. The 50 year historical average is 7.81% The last 10 years was 5.97% The 3% rates we saw in the last 2 years was used to stimulate the economy. It is something many will never see again in their lifetime We will most likely not see the rate go below 5% for many years to come With that said, buying at today's rate is still a wise decision When rates drop again, you can refinance. With an average of 4% appreciation per year, the appreciation can overcome the interest over time
