Vielleicht ist es einfach der Charme dieser Serie – von dem mi ar en e hm en e in dem ie efi m ird i hin zu den Juroren Mary Berry und Paul Hollywood und ihren liebevollen Hänseleien. Die Kandidaten sind keine verzweifelten Möchtegerns, die sich 15 Minu en uhm erh en ndern möchten einfach gute Kuchen backen. Und sogar die Andeutungen der beiden Moderatorinnen Mel und Sue sind einfach warmherzig. Letztendlich läuft es dennoch auf einen Wettbewerb hinaus, und auf dem Weg zum Sieg gilt es, so manche Herausforderung zu meistern. So how did reality TV phenomenon “ he reat ritish a e ff” haul in 13 million viewers for its series final erhaps it s ust that “ a e ff” is so utterly charming - from the gingham filled tent in hich it s filmed to the affectionate teasing between the show’s judges, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. The contestants aren’t desperate wannabes, hoping for 15 minutes of fame – they just want to make nice cakes. And even presenters Mel and Sue’s innuendos are delivered with warm cordiality. But in the end, this is a competition – with high stakes rewards. The triumphant baker is now a magazine columnist, a TV reporter, and has two book deals. That’s what you might call showstopping career progression.
