Thousands of aviation fans and other interested spectators descended on Zurich Airport on 29 January to witness the arrival of our first Boeing 777-300ER, the new flagship of the SWISS long-haul fleet. Shortly after, aircraft HB-JNA was given its own special livery. Why? Because we wanted to dedicate the first of the nine Triple S evens we have ordered from Boeing to the people who make SWISS what it is: our employees. They are the ones who work day after day with all their passion and commitment to ensure that you – our in-flight guests – enjoy the smoothest and pleasantest air travel imaginable. If you’d like to see what our first Triple Seven looks like, turn to page 118. Perhaps you’ve already experienced our new long-haul twin-jet for yourself. HB-JNA has been in service since February on selected routes, mainly within Europe. And she made her first intercontinental flight to New York. From April onwards we’ll also be serving Hong Kong with our new Boeing 777. The energetic port city on the South China Sea is well worth a visit – not just for its wonderful contrasts, but also for its varied cuisine and its friendly and helpful inhabitants. Des milliers de badauds et passionnés d’aviation se sont retrouvés à l’aéroport de Zurich le 29 janvier dernier pour accueillir avec nous notre nouvel avion phare. Nous avions à cœur de dédier le premier de nos neuf Boeing 777-300ER à nos collaborateurs, qui confèrent à notre compagnie aérienne son caractère véritablement unique. Ce sont eux, chers passagers, qui contribuent chaque jour, avec leur grande passion et leur enthousiasme, à faciliter votre voyage et à le rendre aussi agréable que possible. Jetez un coup d’œil sur notre triple seven dans son nouvel habit à la page 118. Il se peut que vous ayez déjà eu le plaisir d’embarquer à bord de notre Boeing 777 puisque celui-ci a été mis en service, dès février, sur certaines lignes. En plus, il a pris son envol pour son premier vol intercontinental à destination de New York. A partir du mois d’avril, le Boeing 777 desservira également Hong Kong. Cette ville portuaire constamment en mouvement vous surprendra non seulement par son paysage riche en contrastes, mais également par sa diversité culinaire et par l’amabilité et la serviabilité de ses habitants. Il 29 gennaio scorso migliaia di interessati ed entusiasti fan dell’aviazione hanno affollato l’aeroporto di Zurigo per la presentazione della nostra nuova ammiraglia. Pochissimo tempo dopo l’esterno del velivolo veniva personalizzato con uno speciale design. Desideravamo infatti dedicare il primo dei nove Boeing 777-300ER a tutte le persone che rendono SWISS davvero inconfondibile: alle nostre collaboratrici e collaboratori che, giorno dopo giorno, con passione e competenza offrono alla nostra stimata clientela un’esperienza di viaggio indimen ticabile. A pagina 118 potete vedere la nuova veste del nostro primo Boeing 777. Ma forse avete già avuto modo di provare di persona tutti i vantaggi offerti dal nuovo velivolo, che già da febbraio opera su tratte selezionate, principalmente in Europa, e, nel frattempo, ha effettuato il primo volo intercontinentale su New York. La prossima meta che il Boeing 777 toccherà a partire dal mese di aprile sarà Hong Kong, l’eccitante metropoli affacciata sul Mar Cinese Meridionale. Sono tanti i motivi che rendono Hong Kong una destinazione interessante: i panorami ricchi di contrasti, la varietà e ricchezza della cucina, il calore e la cortesia degli abitanti.
