Das Triskel Arts Center gehört zu den wichtigsten Veran staltungsorten in Cork. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich das Gulpd Café, ein kultureller Hotspot. Donnerstags ab 22 Uhr finden die «Gulpd Sessions» mit verschiedensten Indiebands und SingerSongwritern statt, an den Wo chenenden legen illustre DJs auf. Aber auch tagsüber lohnt sich ein Besuch. Im Gulpd gibt es hervorragenden Cappuccino, frisch zubereitete Lunches und eine gute Weinauswahl. The Triskel Arts Centre is one of Cork’s best-known event locations. The Gulpd Café, a cultural hot spot, is located on the ground floor. The “Gulpd Sessions”, featuring different indie bands and songwriters, are held on Thursday evenings from 10 p.m., the weekends are hosted by well-known DJs. A day-time visit is worthwhile too. The Gulpd is a great place to go for excellent cappuccino, freshly prepared lunches and a good selection of wine.

In einer engen Gasse liegt eines der ältesten Pubs Corks. Der Brauch ver langte, dass Schlachter und Viehzüchter ihren Angestellten nach einem anstrengenden Markttag einen Drink spendierten. Einige andere Traditionen hat sich das Pub bis heute bewahrt: kein Fernseher, Kerzenlicht, freundliche Bedienungen – herrlich old school! You’ll find one of Cork’s oldest pubs in a narrow lane. Local custom dictated that butchers and breeders treated their employees to a drink after a long, arduous day at the market. The pub also preserves a number of other traditions: no TV, candlelight and service with a smile! The Mutton Lane is deliciously old school.
