Voedseltekort rede vir vrystelling van beurtkrag Emile Vercuil Elizma Beets William Koch
William grew up in Malmesbury where he matriculated at Swartland High School in 2007. Thereafter he commenced his tertiary education at the University of Stellenbosch where he obtained his BComm (Law) and LLB degrees in 2013.
After completing his articles of clerkship he was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2016.

Since being admitted as an attorney, William has gained experience in High Court and Magistrate’s Court litigation, labour law, corporate and commercial law, conveyancing, administration of estates, drafting of wills and technology law. William is a firm believer in providing clients with holistic and affordable legal solutions in a professional and expedient manner.
When not in the office, William enjoys the outdoors and socialising with his friends and family. He enjoys giving back to the community and has been involved in many community based initiatives which includes amongst others, being a founding member of the Swartland High Old Boys, more formally known as the Swartland Bond, coaching rugby at Swartland High School and providing voluntary pro bono legal services to deserving organisations.
Elizma grew up on a farm in Mpumalanga and matriculated at Framesby High School in 1998. She obtained her LLB degree from the University of Port Elizabeth in 2002 and her LLM (Commercial Law) degree from UNISA in 2007.
After completing her articles at Pagdens Stultings Inc. in Gqeberha she was admitted as an Attorney, Notary and Conveyancer in 2005.
Since admission, she has gained extensive experience in conveyancing and property law, notarial practice, corporate and commercial law, drafting of commercial contracts, estate law, civil law, High Court and Magistrate’s Court litigation, labour law and insurance law.
When not in office, Elizma enjoys spending time outdoors, nature photography, camping, classical singing, wine tasting, cooking, reading, learning new crafts and socialising.
Emile is an ambitious Candidate Attorney with a diverse skill set.
Born and raised in Malmesbury, Emile matriculated at Swartland High School in 2010. He subsequently went on to study at the University of Stellenbosch, where he obtained his LLB degree.
Upon receiving his LLB degree, Emile decided to study further and thus began reading for a LLM in international criminal law, which degree was conferred in March 2019.
During his LLM studies, Emile dedicated his time to the Law Trust Chair in Social Justice, where he worked directly alongside former Public Protector, Prof Thuli Madonsela, and also while engaging complainants during his tenure as a Legal Consultant at the South African Human Rights Commission.

Die Swartland Munisipaliteit het 'n aansoek ontvang vanaf die maatskappy hiervoor, aangesien die voortdurende beurtkrag die produksie van noodsaaklike voedselprodukte, insluitend meel belemmer en dit veroorsaak tekorte in die voedselketting wat 'n nasionale impak op voedselproduksie het.
Swartland Munisipaliteit het dienooreenkomstig by ESKOM aansoek gedoen om een van die lyne wat die munisipaliteit van krag voorsien uit te sluit van beurtkrag. ESKOM het die versoek goedgekeur
Die netwerk wat geraak word voer die munisipale rioolwerke, Pioneer Foods (Sasko Meule) asook 'n aantal ander klante in die industriële gebied (ongelukkig nie alle klante in die area nie). Die impak van die besluit is dat hierdie klante vir ten minste die volgende twee maande nie meer beurtkrag gaan ondervind nie. Die ooreenkoms vereis egter dat dié klante se totale las op hierdie netwerk met tye tot soveel as 20% verminder sal moet word vir solank as wat ESKOM die verlaging verlang.
"Ons wil die inwoners en alle kragverbruikers die versekering gee dat die aansoek deur ESKOM goedgekeur is met volle inagneming van al die vereistes soos verwag in terme van die NERSA spesifikasies.
"Die voordeel vir alle inwoners is dat die rioolwerke nou weer normaal kan funksioneer. Pioneer Foods (Sasko) sal ook genoeg meel kan maal om die vraag na meel en brood te bevredig."
