Sally Morris Editor-in-chief Welcome to this month’s Swanky Weddings October Issue, and welcome to the full swing of the autumn season!

As the crisp October air settles in and the leaves paint our world in warm hues, we find ourselves in the heart of one of the most enchanting seasons for weddings. This month, we’re celebrating the unique charm that October brings to nuptial celebrations.

October weddings offer a canvas rich with possibilities. The natural backdrop of golden leaves and harvest-ready fields provides a romantic setting that needs little embellishment. This month, we’re seeing couples embrace the season’s palette with deep burgundies, burnt oranges, and forest greens in their decor and floral arrangements.

As temperatures dip, October weddings bring the opportunity to introduce elements of warmth and comfort. Think soft pashminas for guests, hot apple cider stations, and intimate candle-lit receptions. These thoughtful touches not only make guests feel cared for but also create an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth.
