Sally Morris Editor-in-chief Welcome to this month’s Swanky Fashion October Issue, and welcome to the full swing of the autumn season!

As the crisp autumn air settles in and leaves turn to vibrant hues of red, orange, and gold, October beckons us to re-imagine our wardrobes. This month, we’re celebrating the perfect blend of comfort and style that defines fall fashion.

October’s unpredictable weather calls for the art of layering.

We’re seeing a resurgence of oversized knit cardigans, paired with sleek turtlenecks and wide-leg trousers. The key is to mix textures - think chunky wool with smooth leather or soft cashmere with structured denim.

While earth tones remain a staple, this season introduces unexpected pops of colour. Deep burgundies and forest greens are complemented by vibrant mustards and rich purples. Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour blocking or monochromatic looks in these autumnal shades.

Accessories take centre stage this October. Oversized scarves, statement boots, and structured bags in autumnal hues are musthaves. We’re particularly excited about the return of the beret, adding a touch of Parisian chic to any outfit.
