elcome, Christina, and congratulations on making the front cover cover for this month’s Spellbound Magazine Enchanted Realms edition. Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions.

SBM: Please tell our readers a little about you, and how your photography journey began.

CHS: Born in the enchanting city of Temecula, California, with its scenic views, beautiful mountain ranges, and deep valleys is where I spent my formative years immersed in a world of inspiration. With a lifelong passion for creativity, historical art, and visual expression. After high school, I set forth on my remarkable journey and received early acceptance to the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where I sharpen my skills and obtained a degree in Visual Communications - a pivotal step that would shape my artistic path.

In the midst of my quest for self-discovery, I embarked on a journey that led me to unexpected passions and creative pursuits. It all began when I enrolled in a Photoshop class and delved into the world of digital artistry. As I immersed myself in the intricacies of this powerful software, I discovered a newfound love for manipulating images, transforming ordinary photographs into captivating work of art. Little did I know that this decision would ignite a deep passion within me for the rich tapestry of sculptures, paintings, and architecture that have shaped human history. As I studied the masterpieces created by renowned artists throughout the ages, I found myself captivated by the stories they told and the emotions they evoked.

After my profound connection with people and photography, I acquired my very first camera. As I embarked on my artistic exploration, my lens traversed various subjects, casting its gaze upon landscapes, architecture, and candid moments. From the moment forward, I delved into the realm of portrait photography with unwavering dedication. Through careful composition, masterful lighting, and a genuine curiosity for the human experience, I endeavoured to unveil the essence of my

of my subjects. The challenge lay not merely in capturing their physical appearance, but in immortalising their stories, vulnerabilities, and strengths.

SBM: Please describe to our readers what is featured on the front cover of this issue.

CHS: Featured on the front cover of this captivating issue is a mesmerising recreation of the Greek Goddess, Hecate. The image captures the essence of this powerful deity, paying homage to her enigmatic nature and timeless allure. In this extraordinary portrayal, Hecate emerges from the depths of mythology, a vision of strength and mystique. Her presence commands attention, as she stands tall and resolute, radiating an aura of otherworldly power.

Hecate mirrors the ethereal beauty of ancient Greece, she embodies the embodiment of femininity and strength. The attention to detail brings Hecate to life, capturing the intricacies of her features. Her eyes, alight with an enigmatic glow, reflect wisdom and ancient knowledge. Flowing locks cascade around her shoulders, entwined with symbols of her power and connection to the realms beyond. Set against a backdrop of celestial hues, the image is bathed in a soft, ethereal light that lends an air of enchantment to the scene. Shadows dance and intertwine, creating an exquisite play of contrasts Hecate’s dual nature, the embodiment of light and darkness, creation and transformation.

SBM: What is the story behind your front cover, and what was the process to get there? Who was involved in the team?

CHS: The story behind the front cover is a testament to the powerful collaboration and artistic teamwork that unfolded during the creation of the Hecate photoshoot. It began with a vision and intuitive recognition that Ajay Jamebozorgi possessed the striking features and dark feminine beauty that perfectly embodied the essence of Hecate. Her captivating presence and magnetic allure became the centrepiece of this visual narrative.

To infuse the atmosphere, a fog machine was employed. Its gentle mist floated and swirled, adding a touch of enchantment and evoking a sense of otherworldliness. The team curated a collection of witchy Halloween props, carefully selected to enhance the portrayal of Hecate. These bewitching elements added depth and symbolism to the image, further accentuating the goddess’s mystical nature and her connection to the realm of sorcery and ancient wisdom.

SBM: What is your favourite feature of this front cover?

To bring this vision to life, the talented makeup artist, Miranda Sweeden aka Creepygirlfx, lent their expertise in crafting witchy dark makeup. With their skillful touch, they transformed Ajay into a mesmerising embodiment of Hecate. Every stroke and contour accentuated beauty and mysterious allure that resonated with the essence of the Greek Goddess.

CHS: My favorite feature of Hecate is her powerful portrayal, being a revered Greek goddess Hecate known for her strength and mystique, is likely depicted in a manner that exudes power and presence. Her pose, expression, and overall demeanour on the front cover might evoke a sense of awe and intrigue, capturing the essence of her mythical stature.

United by a shared passion and creative vision, our team converged to create something extraordinary. Ajay, Mirianda and I formed a cohesive unit, each contributing our unique talents and perspectives. It was this teamwork, this sense of unity, that propelled the photoshoot above and beyond expectations.

SBM: What is next in photography for Christinia Hidalgo Spink in 2023?

SBM: What is you and your team’s favourite aspect of dark magic?

CHS: Dark magic is often misunderstood, holding a complexity that transcends mere notions of good and evil. I firmly believe that its potential lies in its application, capable of influencing both positive and negative outcomes. It is the wielder who determines the intentions behind its use, for darkness and light are intertwined, each revealing the other’s profound nature.

My team and I believe the aspect of dark magic embraces the duality of both light and dark, feminine and masculine. The allure of dark magic possesses a captivating beauty that resonates in its distinctiveness.

Through my lens, I seek to illuminate the delicate balance between the two realms, showcasing their interplay and unveiling their hidden narratives. The soft embrace of light brings forth grace and tenderness, while the enigmatic allure of darkness evokes mystery and introspection. Each possesses its own captivating essence, inviting viewers to explore the nuanced dimensions of femininity and masculinity.

CHS: Looking ahead to the rest of this year, I will continue my creative journey in storytelling through photography. The sources of my inspiration are fueled by books, movies, songs, and those spontaneous ideas that manifest are bound to shape captivating visual narratives that resonate with viewers.

As a photographer I am constantly seeking to innovate and push boundaries. Suggestions and fresh ideas are not only welcomed but encouraged, as they have the potential to infuse my work with a distinctiveness that captivates and astonishes the audience. This receptiveness extends to collaborations with models or individuals who bring their own creative visions to the table. By embracing their ideas and exploring new concepts together, we’ll embark on exciting ventures that further elevate my photography.

My commitment to storytelling and willingness to embrace new ideas will be the driving forces behind my growth and success. As I continue to refine my craft, I find ways to make my photography truly stand out, leaving a lasting impression on those who experience my work. By leveraging my passion for storytelling and my eagerness to explore uncharted territories, you’ll create photographs that evoke emotions, provoke thought, and captivate the imagination.

SBM: What photography equipment did you use to capture this image?

May this year be filled with extraordinary adventures and aweinspiring imagery that leaves a lasting impact on both myself and my audience.

To capture this image, attention was given to every detail, ensuring a spellbinding result. The setting was carefully prepared within the confines of a studio, providing the perfect controlled environment to bring forth the desired vision.

SBM: Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions, Christina. We are sure the readers of Spellbound Enchanted Realms loved learning about your take on Hacate, your career as a photographer and what you are achieving next.

For my camera, I rely on the Nikon D3500 paired with a 55mm lens. This combination proves to be ideal for my portrait photoshoots. The Nikon D3500 is a lightweight camera that allows me to carry it effortlessly, ensuring I can move around freely during my sessions.

To illuminate the scene, an Alien Bees Strobe, renowned for its versatility and powerful output, was strategically positioned. Its brilliant flashes of light bathed the subject and surroundings, accentuating the enchanting ambiance that was being meticulously crafted.

A carefully selected cloth backdrop adorned the scene, serving as a canvas upon which the essence of the Greek Goddess, Hecate, would come to life. The choice of backdrop, meticulously chosen for its textural qualities and colour palette, lent an air of mystery and elegance to the composition.

Peter Pan and Wendy | Disney Plus - Released in 2023 A Disney+ Original movie, “Peter Pan & Wendy” is a live-action reimagining of the J.M. Barrie novel and the 1953 animated classic, directed by David Lowery (“The Green Knight,” “Pete’s Dragon”), streaming 2023, only on Disney+. There, she encounters an evil pirate captain, Captain Hook, and embarks on a thrilling and dangerous adventure that will change her life forever. The film stars Jude Law (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”), Alexander Molony (“The Reluctant Landlord”), Ever Anderson (“Resident Evil: The Final Chapter”), Yara Shahidi (“Grown-ish”), Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Joshua Pickering (“A Discovery of Witches”), Jacobi Jupe, Molly Parker (“House of Cards”), Alan Tudyk (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”), and Jim Gaffigan (“The Jim Gaffigan Show”).

“Peter Pan and Wendy” is directed by David Lowery from a screenplay by David Lowery & Toby Halbrooks (“The Green Knight”) based on the novel by J. M. Barrie and the animated film “Peter Pan.” The producer is Jim Whitaker (“Pete’s Dragon”), with Adam Borba (“A Wrinkle in Time”), Thomas M. Hammel (“Thor: Ragnarok”), and Toby Halbrooks serving as executive producers.

“Peter Pan & Wendy” is streaming since April 28, 2023, only on Disney+.

The series, which is Lucasfilm’s first venture into non-Star Wars storytelling since 2015, takes place years after the events of the original “Willow” film. It introduces all-new characters to the enchanted realm of fairy queens and two-headed Eborsisk monsters, and welcomes back its namesake hero, Willow Ufgood, performed once again by the unmatchable Warwick Davis.

“So many fans have asked me over the years if Willow will make a return, and now I’m thrilled to tell them that he will indeed,” says Davis. “Many have told me they grew up with ‘Willow’ and that the film has influenced how they view heroism in our own world. Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Jon M. Chu, Jonathan Kasdan, Wendy Mericle, Ron Howard and Imagine Television will serve as executive producers, with Roopesh Parekh and Hannah Friedman as co-executive producers. Additionally, Bob Dolman will serve as consulting producer with Julia Cooperman as producer.

Harry Potter TV Series is officially moving forward at Warner Bros Max (formally known as HBO Max) - bringing the search for a new cast on!

According to The Times, casting is set to begin in the next nine months, with Hero Talent Group founder Nicole Tasker telling the publication that a handful of actors will be picked through open calls.

The series will be a faithful adaptation of the beloved “Harry Potter” book series by author and executive producer, J.K. Rowling. From Warner Bros. Television, the new Max Original series will be available on Max in (US) and globally once produced.

care this global franchise is known for. The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail, much loved characters and dramatic locations that Harry Potter fans have loved for over twenty-five years. Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.
