Executive Producer, Shonda Rhimes, talks about the how this season differentiates from previous seasons; ‘One of the things that really sets this season apart is the fact that we are dealing with two romantic partners who we already know. Usually, we already know one of them — one of them is a Bridgerton and then the other one is somebody we’ve never met before, and then we get to know them. But this time, we’ve spent two seasons getting to know these characters already. We know Colin, we know Pen. So the idea that we’re going to get to see them get together, it’s a very different feeling.
