As the crisp autumn air settles in and the leaves begin their mesmerizing transformation, September ushers in a special charm that captivates not only us but also our beloved animal companions.

The changing season brings with it a unique opportunity to create memorable experiences with our furry, feathered, and scaly friends.

This month, we’re dedicating our focus to exploring the myriad ways we can make the most of the fall season alongside our cherished pets.

The arrival of cooler temperatures heralds an ideal time for extended walks with our canine companions. These leisurely strolls allow our dogs to immerse themselves in the vibrant autumn landscape, exploring the kaleidoscope of colourful foliage and relishing the satisfying crunch of fallen leaves beneath their eager paws. For feline enthusiasts, the changing season presents a perfect opportunity to craft cosy indoor havens for our cats. Consider creating a snug nook by a sun-drenched window, where they can luxuriate in the warm autumn light and observe the world outside as it transitions into fall.

For those who share their homes with smaller pets such as rabbits or guinea pigs, autumn offers an exciting chance to introduce seasonal treats into their diets. Consider offering small portions of pumpkin or apple as a special autumnal indulgence, always remembering to do so in moderation to maintain their dietary balance. It’s equally important not to overlook our reptilian companions during this seasonal shift.

While they may not partake in the joy of frolicking through fallen leaves, ensuring proper heating in their habitats becomes increasingly crucial as ambient temperatures begin to drop. This attention to their environmental needs is vital for maintaining their health and wellbeing throughout the cooler months.

Retro Cats This photographic series is a visual journey that celebrates the timelessness and charm of cats through two forms of classic photography: Polaroid and analogue photography. Alternating between black and white and colour, these images capture the essence of four cats in their everyday environment.

The grainy tones and textures of analogue film invite us to appreciate the simplicity and beauty of fleeting moments, while Polaroids bring a spontaneity that underlines the playful and mysterious nature of these felines. Through these images, the intimate connection between retro and contemporary in the lives of these feline companions is explored.
