When selling your home, it’s important to be aware of the recent changes that have resulted from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) settlement, which directly impact broker commissions and offer new benefits for sellers. Here’s a breakdown of what these changes mean for you.

· Option to Offer Buyer Broker Compensation
As the seller, you still have the option to offer compensation to buyer brokers. This can be an effective strategy to market your home and make it more appealing to potential buyers.
· Disclosure of Broker Payments
Your agent must clearly disclose and obtain your approval for any payments or offers of payment that your listing broker will make to another broker representing a buyer.
