Beat the heat by playing tennis or taking classes at night! The Surfside Courts are lit till very late and residents get discounts on all programs and lessons, and never pay court fees. Free reservations Mon thru Thurs evening for Surfside Residents. Discounts on lessons, racket rentals and re-stringing. Rain Barrel & Water Conservation Workshop on July 20 Note that the workshop is free and rain barrels will be available to purchase for $40. A registration form is available on the Town website to prepurchase a rain barrel and to RSVP for the workshop. July is Smart Irrigation Month in Miami Dade and Surfside will be participating by hosting a Rain Barrel/ Water Conservation Workshop at the Community Center from 10 a.m. - Noon on Saturday, July 20, 2013. The event is being hosted by the Surfside Urban Gardeners and presenting will be Barbara McAdam, Program Assistant for the Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program from the University of Florida/Miami Dade County Cooperative Extension Service.
