Dear Residents,
As we welcome our newly elected officials, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for casting your votes and participating in the democratic process. Together, we embark on a journey to continue fostering a thriving community. In the spirit of unity, let us embrace the opportunities ahead and work collaboratively towards our shared goals and vision.
This month, we are excited to invite you to celebrate Earth Day, Surfside style! Come join us on Sunday, April 21, for a fun-filled Plastic Fishing Festival presented by the Tourist Board, alongside the Parks and Recreation’s Earth Day Resource Fair. It’s going to be a fantastic day of eco-friendly activities and community engagement.
Lastly, there will be some major traffic work in the area. Bay Harbor Islands will be making emergency repairs to the bridge that connects both communities and it will require lane closures. On the same note, Harding Avenue drainage improvement work is being done by FDOT and will also require lane closures. Please plan for extra time in your travel.
Warm regards and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve you!
