Tree Spirit-Wisdom
By ShirleySienna
The guardians of trees are officially known as Dryads, very ancient and wise elemental beings. I have been fascinated by them for as long as my memory serves and my own inner occult, in my galactically coded oracle, is that of the ‘Wizard’, whose wisdom is held within the trees.
The nature spirits, elementals and spirit folk reveal their shape and form to me. Not only the ones who reside within the energy of the tree and surrounding landscape but also the multi-dimensional beings, who utilise the tree to show themselves.

The shimmering of the leaves as you lie under a tree and look up into the branches is fascinating and mesmerising. We are often told to, “Go hug a tree,” meaning just that, to receive a lovely flow of healing in return. With your back close up against a tree or facing, hands on the trunk, you will be able to release pent up negativity and to ground or reconnect, when you’re a little off kilter. The trees create the perfect vibration to use as a vortex or realm travelling system
for so many different entities and life forms. One I feel very familiar with and see as totally connected to tree energy, is the ‘Sasquatch, Bigfoot or Yeti, sometimes also called with respect the ‘Big Man’. You may think it is an American-only deity or simply a legend however. I assure you; it is not!
These amazing wonders are spiritual, physical, interdimensional and more. They are very tangible when entering our varying levels of 3D and yet step so easily into invisibility. They seem to be able to create a portal, a magical gateway, that they step through in the blink of an eye.
They are, of course, known by many different names around the world but here in Australia we have the Yowie. I have had sightings and proof of this both from people close to me and from those who have sought me out over the years.
America. I have experienced them in my dreams, meditations and wide-awake visions. They appear extremely tall however because of what they are; they can be as tall, or as short as they need to be in the moment. I have also physically ‘felt’ their energy in certain places I have visited and it feels similar to our own Yowie. Sometimes the energy is to tell me to ‘stay out’ of that place for now, whereas other times I am able to walk right in. I have noticed the trees in these specific areas feel very magical indeed.
A friend, who was receiving medical treatment for an illness, was helped by what she described as a Sasquatch-like creature, when her car was stuck after driving home late. She had no other explanation of how she managed to get her car out and herself home without the help of the creature she felt with her. She had no proof, but she shared her story.
Some plants and trees have a two-way nutrient transport system that is called the ‘xylem and the phloem’. It is relevant and similar to our human inner bio system, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The xylem transports and stores water and water soluble nutrients, whilst the phloem is responsible for transporting sugars, proteins, and organic molecules. This is their vascular system and allows the plants to grow higher than others, due to the rigidity of the xylem cells which support it. The xylem flows up from roots to leaves, whilst the phloem can flow both up and down.
I am often inspired to use this in guided meditations by perceiving healing energy moving through the xylem and phloem of the body; a system of dispersing nutrition for body, mind and soul. It is also a pertinent way to focus the shift and movement of oxygen and blood flow throughout the body, for real-time physical healing, which we have the power of mindset to achieve.
An enjoyable meditative experience is to visualise yourself or even do some personal art therapy and draw yourself as a tree. You can imagine the height, breadth and type of tree, whether it’s a young sapling or an old dead tree. Identify its position and you may like to include any creatures that make their home in you, the tree. Imagine changing with the seasons from meditation

To me, trees are the Wisdom Keepers. The Mayans believed we are of the trees, that we are related to them in the make-up of our physical bodies, because of the mineral and gases on this Earth.

If you have ‘Wizard’ kin within your ‘Dreamspell’ oracle, you are of the Earth Family and hold the frequency of the ‘Gateway’. The chakra connected to this is the Root or Base chakra. The power of this kin is the Inner Shaman, who can travel without actually moving and holds the magic of Enchantment, Timelessness and Receptivity.
In many movies we see the trees ‘coming to life’, portrayed, as either terrifying or life-giving saviours depending on the script. Take some time to see, hear and feel the trees around you. Clint Eastwood sang ‘I talk to the trees’ in the film Paint Your Wagon, where the lyrics continued, “But they don’t listen to me.” Well, I beg to differ; we just don’t stop long enough to hear their reply!
