ORDINARY PEOPLE LIVING EXTRAORDINARY LIVES
Masculine Vs Feminine Beautiful Duality
By Jane Offer

Many of us older folk will have been brought up with the idea of inherent qualities that are exclusively male or female. We were raised with marked gender concepts in what was acceptable as normal childhood development; toys were assessed by gender, as were the choices of school subjects. I badly wanted a train set but was told that ‘only boys played with trains’.
There are many views on the sources of this thinking, including the belief in the oppression of women over the centuries being its primary purpose. However, while this may be so in many cases, it is also based in a misinterpretation that this is a purely physical agenda when, in fact, personal power is not gender-related.
As a child, I was told many stories by my grandmother Violet of the struggle of the Suffragettes to gain equal rights within a male-dominated society. And that was the point, equal rights and not a desire to reverse dominate. Violet was born in 1895 in the UK and, at 23, she saw the right to vote granted for women over 30 years old. She continued to be staunchly committed to equal rights all her life, especially in the 1960s, the period of my teenage years. Violet was a businesswoman, property owner, entrepreneur and an inspiration. She used masculine principles to forge her way, was completely non-maternal yet very feminine in her appearance. In this day and age, she would have been a fearless business force, very much entrenched in the use of her masculine energy.
In the 21 st century, we now understand much more about the duality of our being; that we all hold both masculine and feminine energy. We know the value and purpose of both, in that the masculine principle is related to aspects of analytical thinking, reasoning, strength and action, while the feminine is related to compassion, nurturing, receptivity, empathy and the emotional approach to a situation. We are also aware that we can no longer suppress either side of our nature, realising that any sense of conflict or loss of power is generated from an imbalance of these two elements. This difference of approach was clearly shown in the interview with both Jacinda Ardern and Scott Morrison following the eruption of the White Island volcano in New Zealand.
The critical factor to remember is that this energy alignment is not a competition – neither is more important than another, each holding a powerful place in our evolvement.

Divine Time
The Yellow Brick Road
By ShirleySienna

February 2020 is a leap year, 29 days in February. In Dreamspell terms, it unifies with the archetype Hunab-Ku, the great central sun and source of life.
We’re off to see the Wizard and many other amazing icons as we travel the golden paved road of 2020. February gives us wheels to go and we can roll with the punches and find ourselves entering Oz. Some of the sights we shall pass by are, the Yellow Warrior, beginning January 24, which exemplifies itself this year in particular as Pathfinder and Journey Master. No going to sleep in the field of poppies as you explore. You can easily cut your way through red tape and insignificant paraphernalia because there is cause for celebration with an opportunity to heal the very heart of you.
As soon as you reach Red Moon Kin on February 6, let your guitar gently weep. Release all that is pent up and vocalise it. Howl at the Moon, or just howl with the White Wind from February 19. Let the Spirit Speak, with breath from your soul. Turn it all around as soon as you’re able and create positive vibes from positive affirmations. Keep a 2020 vision journal as you truly become the seer.
When Blue Eagle lands momentarily on March 4, it will give you a new perspective. By mid-March. you’ll neither be the hare, nor the hatter, but Alice - suddenly discovering there is a lot of new information down the rabbit hole. You will desire naught but to be the star of your own story- as you should be.
Let heart and mind be one. Be emotionally smart, savvy and share the love with those who appreciate you. “What gives me joy?” should be your motto this year. So know you are allowed to jump for and with this joy, mighty high on vibrations that align with your own Divine Design.
Nurture, care, comfort and repair. Your body is your vehicle. It houses your soul and is the temple that you can retreat into during meditation. Go inside and see what you are made of.

Enlighten Up
The Cycle of Relationships
By Freya Sampson Custodian Eartheart

In the December 2019 issue, we began to delve into the nitty-gritty of relationships. Let’s back up a little and take an overview of where we come from and what relationships really are? Then we can journey back into the nitty-gritty dynamics that make or break our relationships and create the experiences.
The very nature of the Divine itself and therefore one’s own true nature, becomes realised through the interplay of souls, through relationships. Thus one could say, at the highest level of truth, a relationship is the vehicle which the Divine has chosen to work through, in order to know thyself, as the perfection of love in all of its forms, in action, to be of service, aka self-realisation.
From an individuated perception of creation, which each of us has, what does this mean in everyday life? It’s very easy to take relationships for granted, for as far back as we can recall in this life, at the point of conception, we come from and through a relationship.
From that point onward, we are experiencing how the people around us interact. This occurs through gestation, the growing foetus is a soul’s vessel, moving from a state of oneness into a state of individuation. A soul, therefore, has a relationship with its body.
The foetus is experiencing its mother’s responses to all of the energies of life that she is exposed to throughout that period. It is already beginning its relationship with the world. As the body grows, its senses become more specific and targeted, hearing, seeing and feeling. The soul can begin to interact with the people who engage with its mother and with them directly.
Birth occurs and the soul, now fully vested into a body, is birthed into the world and this being takes the next step into self. Still strongly dependent on parental care to provide everything required for his or her healthy development, none-the-less, absorbing and learning all of the time.
Imprinting about relationships is already well underway. A relationship, like all things in creation, is cyclical in growth and pattern of flow.
There are four phases in any relationship - The Honeymoon, Noticing Differences, Potential Conflict and the Golden Afterglow or Separation.
The aim, in a healthy relationship, is ‘Golden Afterglow’ – to grow in harmonic resonance, virtue and love.
