SCA honors Long-standing Tradition by Writing Scripture in the Fieldhouse & Activity Center

The tradition of writing scripture on the floor of buildings that are built across the campus is a long-standing tradition at SCA. It started on the Elementary Commons floor when SCA built the Elementary Commons addition in 2000. For this most recent project, students from preschool to 12th grade had the opportunity to sign their name and write scripture on the floor of the Fieldhouse and Activity Center! We pledge to stand firm on God’s Word as Christ is the cornerstone of our school. SCA alumni were invited to be the first to sign the floor at the VIP Fieldhouse tour of the construction site. Over 20 current SCA students are second-generation Eagles, as one (or both) of their parents graduated from SCA! SCA 2006 graduate Kirk Nungester and his wife and children who are current SCA students were among the first to sign the floor. “Our family is very excited about the upcoming completion of the Fieldhouse,” shared Kirk. “It’s been amazing to see the facilities grow since I graduated from SCA in 2006. We chose to put our kids in SCA for their ongoing commitment to excellence in everything they do—spiritual development, academics and athletics. We can not wait to watch our kids perform in the Fieldhouse and are grateful we had the opportunity to put their handprints and a verse of dedication on the floor.”

Second-generation Eagles, the Nungester family, signed on center-court of the Fieldhouse floor, with anticipated graduation years of 2029, 2031, 2034, 2036, and 2039! (L-R) Brantley (SCA 4th Grade), Tate (SCA 1st Grade), Jenni, Kolston (SCA 6th grade), Kirk (SCA Class of 2006), Archer, and Ella (SCA PreK) Nungester were among the first to sign the Field House floor! Students in Mrs. Richards’ PreKindergarten class sign their name on the Fieldhouse floor, surrounding the Psalm verse written by their teacher.
