(NOTE.—In Mr. Garneys' diary, Aglenus brunneus, Gyll., is recorded, probably erroneously, from Beddingfield, in April, 1861. This species is found somewhat commonly in Germany and Italy, in greenhouses, under beech bark, etc., but does not appear to have yet occurred in Britain, though it is quite possible the above may have been an importation.
