FARMERS from Misamis Oriental are starting to benefit from a facility left behind by tobacco giant Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corporation after they have ceased to operate here. It can be recalled that the seven-hectare tobacco processing plant owned by the company was turned over several months ago to the provincial government under a usufruct agreement as it has stopped serving its intended purpose. From a facility used solely to process tobacco, the state-of-the-art dryer located in the municipality of Claveria has been converted to process other produce such as white copra,

cassava, corn, dried mango and moringa. “It has helped our farmers a lot here in Misamis Oriental,” reported Sangguniang Panlalawigan agriculture committee chair Frederick Khu during an interview earlier this week. MANILA – The Food and Drug Administration reported that a third hospital has been granted a compassionate special permit (CSP) to use Ivermectin anti-parasitic drug for the treatment of the deadly virus coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) FDA Director-General Eric Domingo, during the House committee hearing on good government and public accountability, said the facility received the permit and use the veterinary drug and treat their patients contracted with the deadly virus. Domingo said: “Sa ngayon po mayroon pa pong na-approve na isang hospital kahapon.” According to Domingo the CSP permit only allows the approved hospitals for one year and gives authorization to their doctors to administer the Ivermectin to treat covid patients. MANILA - The latest appointee of the president is a muslim judge and currently the associate justice of the Court of Appeals. President Rodrigo Duterte appointed Japar Dimaampao, as the new Supreme Court Associate Justice.
