Customs officials, however, closed the 40-footer van after the witnesses complained of the putrid smell emanating from the garbage. regional environmental officials. He said that during the probe, customs officials found out that the papers of the Hongkong cargoes were all fictitious. “The BOC, along with other government line agencies, are now conducting a deeper probe to identify the culprits of the illegal cargoes,” Simon said.
