EcoWaste Coalition donates pedicabs, tools to Cugman

ARANGAY Cugman is one of only three barangays in the country to have received vehicles and tools to be used in collecting garbage.
The turnover of 17 pedicabs, five motorcycles and 30 sets of tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) was done Thursday afternoon at Chali Beach Resort in barangay Cugman, this city by EcoWaste Coalition project coordinator Mary Jane Salingay to barangay Cugman chairman Wendelyn Escobia. Salingay said that for this year, there were only three cities which are recipients of the project – Quezon City, Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City. In each city, EcoWaste
Coalition chose from among the barangays which had solid waste management ideals but could not afford to implement them in practice due to budget constraints. Barangay Cugman topped the list.
