UTUAN City–– Call it luck, but the typhoon that had brought fear and panic to the Butuanons barely made a significant impact here aside from scattered light to moderate rains that didn’t even last until noon on that fateful day of November 8, 2013.
DAVAO City––After Yolanda, here comes Zoraida. SAN Francisco, Agusan del Sur—Taking the lessons learned from super typhoon Yolanda, officials in the neighbouring provinces of Surigao del Sur and Agusan del Sur are not taking chances that they already activated their disaster response teams as early as Monday morning. Around 600 members

DAVAO City––No casualties from Typhoon Yolanda were reported in Maribojoc, Bohol one of the towns hit hard by the recent earthquake. Storm signal no. 2 was raised on Bohol last Thursday. According to Bagani Evasco, son of Mayor Leoncio Evasco and one of the coordinators in responding to the typhoon, no casualties were reported, including those living in tents as rehabilitation of houses are still underway. Evasco said some residents were evacuated to the municipal hall, marketplaces or schools were rooms were still intact and safe. See yolanda/p.11
