Demolition of stalls in public market sought CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The City Engineer’s Office on Wednesday has sought the intercession of the city council for the demolition of stalls situated above the manholes in the Carmen Public Market here. City Vice Mayor Ian Acenas said that the city engineers found out that one of the major causes of flooding in Carmen market was the presence of stalls above the manholes surrounding the public market.
“The engineers complained that the foul odor at the Carmen public market was due to the clogging of manholes,” Acenas said. Acenas said that the engineers also complained that the drainage water sometimes overflow making the public market the dirtiest because of filthy effluents.
