DOH-Caraga foresees rise in HIV incidence By Jennifer P. Gaitano

BUTUAN CITY - The Department of Health – Center for Health Development (DOH) foresees a rise in Human Immunodeficiency Virus infection (HIV) in Caraga Region by 2013, if sexual practices of the most vulnerable bracket remain unchanged. Dr. Gerna Manatad, regional epidemiologist of DOH-Caraga, said that the projected number of HIV cases in 2012 was 23,922, nationwide; while this year, the projection is 28,072, which may be go up if the public is not conscious enough to take precautionary measures for their sex life. Naliyagan Fest kicks off today

AN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur-- The provincial government will lead today the opening of the six-day grand celebration of 21st Naliyagan Festival, an annual ethnic cultural festivities that had already drawn thousands of visitors in other parts of the country and abroad.

VILLAR: Entrepreneurship is the key to financial independence
