Cost of Agus rehab THE rehabilitation of Mindanao’s main power source, the Agus-Pulangi hydroelectric complex, will take about four to five years to complete, and cost some P54 billion, the Finance department said. National Power Corp. (Napocor) president Pio J. Benavidez was quoted in a statement from the Department of Finance as saying that the total cost for rehabilitating the seven power plants will be $1.07 billion, or P54 billion. The rehabilitation of Agus 1 is expeced to cost $92 million, Agus 2 $207 million, Agus 4 and 5 $245.07 million, Agus 6 $172.5 million; Agus 7 $62.10 million; and Pulangi 4 $293.25 million.

China sent equipment for Marawi City rehab
Bahay Pag-asa ILIGAN City -- To provide i m mediat e shelter and accommodation to the families affected by the Marawi siege, Bahay Pagasa (Home of Hope) was launched in Barangay Bito Buadi Itowa, Marawi City. With the collaborative efforts of the Tarlac Heritage Foundation, Chinese Filipino Business Club, Inc. and the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division, Philippine Army, a total of 50 nipa huts were constructed in a 1.2 hectare land. Attaching raincatching systems for water supply and solar panels for electricity, the 8x8 ft. houses were built using bamboos, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and nipa palm. A total of 30 comforts rooms, 30 bathrooms, 10 sinks and 10 cooking facilities were also built.
