Emergency employment THE Depar tment of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is beefing up its emergency employment program in a bid to alleviate the plight of workers displaced by super typhoon “Yolanda”, Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio B. Coloma Jr. said. “Patuloy ang pag-aagapay ng pamahalaan sa pagbabagong-tatag at pagpapanumbalik ng normal na pamumuhay ng ating mga kababayan. Puspusan ang pagpapatupad ng DOLE ng emergency employment program upang bigyan ng pansamantalang pagkakakitaan ang ating mga kababayan,” Coloma said. The emergency employment program aims at helping disasterstricken families to rebuild their lives by providing them with better access to sustainable income sources, the Communications Secretary said.

Outstanding teachers THE Depar tment of Education Misamis Oriental (DepEd-MisOr) is in search for outstanding public school heads, teachers and non-teaching personnel in its upcoming 2013 Araw Ng Parangal on December 16. Particularly it is looking for top 10 outstanding elementar y school heads/administrators (five per congressional district), top four outstanding secondary school heads/ administrators (one per cluster), outstanding elementar y school teacher (two per district), outstanding secondary school teacher (two per learning area/cluster), and top 10 division outstanding non-teaching personnel. According to DepEd Misor Schools Division Superintendent Cherry Mae Limbaco, the search aims to recognize the exemplary per formanc e and outstanding accomplishments of the members of the academic community who manifest profound commitment and remarkable dedication to their specific duties and responsibilities in the field of work.

With a total land area of 78,948.48 square meters, the mall boasts of a gross f loor area of 40, 856.42 square meters with a gross leasable area of 26, 143.58 square meters good for over 200 tenants and a hotel.
