Milk feeding CLOSE to 5,000 malnourished children benefited from the milk feeding program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and National Dairy Authority (NDA) in Region 10 (Northern Mindanao). DWSD-10 OIC Assistant Director Zosimo G. Butil said Wednesday more than P10 million was allocated for the milk feeding of 4,805 identified malnourished children in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro cities with 1,914 and 2,891 beneficiaries, respectively. Butil said DSWD-10 signed a memorandum of agreement with NDA-10 for the fund allocation of P10,955,400.

Alsons bond issuance ALCANTARA-led Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc. has secured the approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on its proposed P2.0 billion worth of 182day Series O commercial papers (CP) issuance. “The foregoing commercial papers represent the first tranche of commercial papers that forms part of the P3.0 billion commercial paper program,” the company has stipulated in its disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange. As stated in the SEC approval, Alsons is permitted to offer and sell its CP “to the general public in one or more tranches within a period of three (3) years,” from the effectivity date of its registration statement — and that’s reckoned as of June 25 this year.

CDO Customs seizes P5-M imported ‘chop-chop’ cars THE Bureau of Customs (BOC)10 (Northern Mindanao) confiscated 13 knocked-down mini-vans and a military jeep imported from Japan on Thursday afternoon.
