e-Presyo TO drum-up awareness on e-Presyo, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Camiguin strengthened its information and education campaign (IEC) by putting up e-Presyo tarpaulins in strategic areas around the province, mostly located in public markets and business establishments. e-Presyo is the name given to the newly established Online Price Monitoring System (OPMS) of the DTI with the main purpose of providing easy access to the latest suggested retail prices (SRP) for prime commodities and basic necessities. DTI said e-Presyo does not even require sign-up when the application is accessed online, easily downloadable both in personal computer and in a smart phones.

that are often invisible to most people, such as air and water filtration, flood protection, carbon storage, pollination of crops, and habitats for wildlife. Owing to the invisibility of these ecosystem services markets do not capture their true value and the contribution of natural resources to the economy, and consequently what it would cost if these were severely depleted or lost. SURIGAO City – Death toll due to the magnitude 6.7 earthquake late evening Friday rose to seven while those injured likewise rose to 120, according to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC).
This as the Sangguniang Panlungsod declared on Saturday the city to be under a state of calamity due to the “untold damages in the city to real and personal properties.” The CDRRMC has no names of the fatalities but the Office of the Civil Defense,
in an update issued 3 p.m. Saturday, reported six deaths so far, all from Surigao City. The victims were identified as Roberto Eludo, 40; JM Ariar, 4; Wilson Lito, 35; Lorenzo Deguino, 85; Roda Justina Taganahan, 83; and Wenefreda Aragon Bernal, 66. All died because calamity/PAGE 11
