Briefly Byaheng Pagbabago BUTUAN City -- Partners from the media groups and National Government Agencies (NGAs) in Caraga join the Byaheng Pagbabago on December 8-10, 2015 at the municipality of Pilar, Siargao Islands, Surigao del Norte. Spearheaded by the Social Marketing Unit (SMU) team of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga, the Stakeholders’ Learning Visit and Project Exposure Trip dubbed as Byaheng Pagababago was actively participated by the various partners and stakeholders of the agency. Partners who attended are the representatives from GMA News-Surigao, Democratico Post, Super Banat, Hope Radio, Philippine News Agency, Butuan Star, Philhealth, Department of Health (DOH), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

El Niño Fund THE President has approved an allocation of about P19 billion for projects aimed at mitigating the possible impact of the El Niño phenomenon on agriculture and other sectors, according to the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA). President Benigno S. C. Aquino III on Dec. 11 approved the funding for to implement the Roadmap to Address the Impact of El Niño, NEDA DirectorGeneral Arsenio M. Balisacan said. “Roughly about P6.6 billion is in the current budget and the rest will be sourced from the savings from other programs like [those which] turned out to be cheaper” than the initial estimates, he added.
