Briefly Oro's Covid response PRESIDENTIAL Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar on Tuesday acknowledged the delicate balance the local government here has to employ in Covid-19 response while under enhanced community quarantine and on Alert Level 4 in terms of its health care system status. Andanar, said this city is a "very unique case" because it is the melting pot in Region 10 where Northern Mindanao commerce passes through. "The mayor (Oscar Moreno) has a tough job and decisions to make. It's not easy to become the mayor in the city because whatever decision he makes affect not only Cagayan de Oro City but the entire province and the entire Northern Mindanao as well," he said.

Coco facility A COCONUT processing facility worth P500 million will soon be established in the town of Claveria, Misamis Oriental, according to the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA). The drying facility was recently donated to the provincial government after Philip Morris halted operations in Claveria.

90K beneficiary names need updating for cash aid in CDO

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 10 (Northern Mindanao) has extended the encoding of profiles of cash aid beneficiaries who are affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), after about 90,000 names in the initial list needed to be updated. In an interview Tuesday, Oliver Inodeo, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) information officer, said the staff of the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) of the local government found a discrepancy that needed to be corrected. The move was in response to the complaint of some households that they received only P1,000 when they have four or more members, entitling them to receive P4,000 under Joint Circular Memo 2, series of 2021. In a radio inter view, Delio Aseron II, PhilHealth Regional Vice President, said if there are irregularities like mishandling or misdiagnosing patients, they can email him directly
