DOJ junks Oca’s plea to reject city tax code T

HE Department of Justice has junked the petition filed by Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno questioning the constitutionality and legality of the city’s tax revenue code passed by the City Council last year.
THE Visit Samal Island 2015 will be formally launched at Penaplata Freedom Park on April 17. VSI 2015 aims to entice more domestic and foreign tourist to come and visit Samal Island and experience its beauty and place to enjoy and relax this summer, the program is initiated by the City Government through City Investment and Tourism Office (CITO) in cooperation with the Department of Tourism (DOT XI), Island Tourism Council (ITC), private sectors and resort owners. On its fifth year the annual tourism event showcases multiple summer merriments it is held from April 17 to May 31, it targets to increase the number of tourist arrivals and to put IGaCoS in the map as prime tourist destination for local and foreign tourists.
