The Ana G. Méndez Educa onal System (AGMUS), as it is known today, evolved gradually from low tech typing courses in the early 1940s to high tech educa on for a knowledge economy at the dawn of the 21st Century.
Ana G. Méndez’ vision of 60 years ago has radiated into today’s sophis cated university system of three thriving universi es providing associate to doctorate degrees, thirteen (13) o -campus educa onal centers, three U.S. campuses serving Hispanics, the only educa onal sta on owned by a private en ty in Puerto Rico and a pioneering facility in distance learning.
