> ‘Tis the season to be jolly and I think it’s safe to say Orlando was full of joy this November! What better way to kick off an entire month of fabulous events then with Carmen Steffens’ High Winter Fashion Event? On November 6th, event guests made their way to the Mall at Millenia and joined Orlando Style Magazine and the Carmen Steffens Store in celebrating the best in winter fashion. From minimalist apparel to extravagant designs, attendees were able to preview it all as they enjoyed complimentary drinks, appetizers, live DJ Entertainment and the revealing of Orlando Style Magazine’s highly anticipated November luxury issue. Guests also received an exclusive 20% discount throughout the store during the event. On November 8th, the all-new Vanity Nightclub in Downtown Orlando became an exciting platform for emerging local fashion designers as Orlando Style Magazine presented FashionContender®. This thrilling, high-energy competition brought together three of the top local fashion designers as they showed off their work and competed for fabulous prizes. Contestant Trish Green’s gorgeous designs helped her to win this round and advance to the next where she’ll compete for the ultimate grand-prize of a free trip to NYC Fashion Week. The event was emceed by The Daily Buzz’s Lance Smith and featured a panel of celebrity judges including Orlando Style Magazine’s publisher and founder, our very own Sven Bode! Guest

On November 14th, Mayor Buddy Dyer kicked off the 27th Annual Festival of Trees at the Orlando Museum of Art by lighting the Grand Tree at “Light Up the Holidays,” a special pre-festival opening ceremony. This year’s festival brought the holidays and the arts together from November 16th to the 24th as guests showed up daily for awe-inspiring displays of designer decorated trees, wreaths, gingerbread creations and gorgeous holiday vignettes all for sale. Visitors also enjoyed a stunning exhibition of abstract work, a gift boutique, live entertainment at Festival Café and much more during these nine incredible days full of glimmer, lights, special events and surprises for guests of all ages. The Bohemian Gallery is one of the most visually stimulating art galleries in the nation and on November 15th,
it became the fourth and final stop for award winning French artist Jean Claude Roy and his traveling collection “Where Color Meets Life.” The Orlando community joined the Bohemian Gallery in welcoming the talented artist and his works, which featured vibrant landscape paintings, inspired by Roy’s passionate life. The following evening, visitors enjoyed a Champagne reception and dinner that concluded the two viewing days of Roy’s beautiful collection. This holiday season, Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing curated an exclusive gift collection of 37 items and on November 20th, Neiman Marcus Orlando and The Orlando Ballet hosted a private reception and preview of this fabulous Ken Downing Gift collection. The invite-only event was held at Level One and guests fell in love with the various selections of gifts from high-end designers including Chanel, Michael Kors, Alexander Wang and many others.
