Orlando was bursting with energy and creativity this past month as locals and visitors alike enjoyed a lineup of unforgettable events. From fireside fine dining and dog-friendly bridal showcases to tiki-horror mashups and community repair clinics, September 2025 truly delivered something for everyone. Here’s a look back at some of the standout experiences, just in case you missed it!
On select Saturday evenings throughout September, a lucky group of foodies experienced the exclusive Fireside Tastings at Sear + Sea Woodfire Grill, located at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek. This intimate, sevencourse dinner took place before the restaurant opened and unfolded directly in front of the woodfire grill. Guests enjoyed premium seasonal dishes paired with expertly selected wines, all while getting a rare behind-the-scenes
look at this Michelin-recommended kitchen in action.
Held on September 14 at Caribe Royale Orlando, Paws Around the Pier Bridal Showcase was a dream come true for petloving couples. The charming outdoor bridal event featured wedding vendors dedicated to helping engaged couples find ways to include their beloved fur babies in their big day. Because nothing says "I do" like puppy love.
On September 20, The Falcon Bar & Gallery came alive for the Be Our Guest Art Fest. This late-night celebration of local art, music, and handcrafted goods was hosted by the bar’s own bartenders. Guests browsed artwork, jewelry, vintage finds, and handmade oddities while sipping custom cocktails and enjoying live sets by DJ Borglando and bands like The Nowlings, Animoxia, and Post Purity.
From September 25-28, DoubleTree SeaWorld Orlando was transformed into a cocktail-driven, tiki-meets-horror festival like no other. Attendees of Monster Moku explored haunted pathways, marveled at Polynesian fire dancers, admired vintage cars, and rocked to live surf bands all while enjoying a monstrous lineup of fun, frights, and unforgettable surprises.
On September 27, Leu Gardens rolled out the green carpet for pups and their people during its annual Dog Day. With doggy contests like Best Dressed and Terrific Trick, plus a Doggie Boutique and free bandanas, it was a full day of tail-wagging fun. Families from all around Orlando enjoyed exploring the gorgeous gardens with their furry friends, making it a memorable outing for all ages.
Also on September 27, Mead Botanical Garden in Winter Park hosted a special celebration for National Public Lands Day. The nationwide event honors the beauty and importance of our shared public lands and Mead Garden was the perfect place for attendees to do just that. The morning festivities included free yoga and tai chi classes, an Audubon Birds of Prey presentation, kids’ activities, self-guided nature tours, and even a free tree giveaway courtesy of Winter Park Urban Forestry. It was both a peaceful and educational way for all to connect with nature and community.
Over in Lake Mary, Tonka’s Country Fall Festival took place on the evening of September 27 and brought the charm of smalltown fall festivities to Lake Mary Pub & Tiki Bar. Inspired by Tonka the horse, a beloved pub regular, the event featured hayrides through downtown, carnival games, bull riding, local vendors, a dunk tank, food trucks, and live music. It was a cozy, community-centered way to ring in the new season.
September 27 was also the day that environmentally minded residents gathered in Orlando for a free repair clinic aimed at reducing landfill waste. At Orange County’s Fix It Don’t Pitch It event, volunteer tinkerers offered small repairs on items like bicycles, electronics, household goods, and clothing. It was a hands-on way for the community to save money and reduce the amount of trash sent to the landfill.

October is the month where cosmic energies invite us to focus on transformation, balance, and grounding. It’s a time to confront lingering patterns, embrace change, and find stability in relationships and daily life. Unexpected shifts may open the door to new opportunities, urging patience and adaptability. Mercury Retrograde returns on October 10th until October 30th, bringing potential delays in travel, technology mishaps, and communication challenges. Practice mindfulness, slow down, and double-check important details.
The New Moon in Libra on October 2nd highlights themes of harmony, justice, and connection, making it an ideal moment for setting intentions related to partnerships and balance. On October 17th, the Full Moon in Aries emphasizes courage, action, and independence. It’s a good time to release what no longer serves you and to push forward with determination. October 23rd also marks the beginning of Scorpio season, a time for deep emotional reflection, intensity, and renewal.
Check out your individual horoscope to help guide and navigate this month:

Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Confidence rises, fueling leadership and ambition. Success in work is possible, but guard against taking on too much at once. Relationships are energized by Venus, drawing people toward you. Clear communication will prevent Retrograde mix-ups.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Organization and discipline serve you well this month. Financial planning supports stability, while partnerships may require patience and compromise. Small acts of kindness deepen bonds, but avoid overanalyzing loved ones’ words.
Libra (September 23 - October 22)

THE NEW 2026 911 TURBO S IS THE MOST POWERFUL PRODUCTION 911 TO DATE THANKS TO AN INNOVATIVE TWIN-TURBO POWERTRAIN WITH T-HYBRID TECHNOLOGY
Porsche has once again elevated the legendary 911 with the 2026 911 Turbo S, unveiled at the IAA Mobility trade show in Munich. This range-topping coupe and Cabriolet boasts 701 horsepower (523 kW) from an innovative twin-turbo T-Hybrid powertrain, making it the most powerful production 911 to date. Blending blistering performance, long-distance comfort, and everyday usability, the Turbo S sets a new benchmark for sports cars, arriving in U.S. Porsche Centers by spring 2026.
At its core is the evolved 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 from the F154 family, now augmented by two electric exhaust gas turbochargers (eTurbos) for unprecedented responsiveness. The 1.9-kWh high-voltage battery and electric motor integrate seamlessly with the 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, delivering 590 lb.-ft. of torque from 2,300 to 6,000 rpm. The result? A 0-60 mph sprint in 2.4 seconds—0.2 seconds quicker than its predecessor—and a top speed of 200 mph. On the Nürburgring Nordschleife, it clocked 7:03.92 minutes, 14 seconds faster than the last model, thanks to a 180-lb. weight increase offset by enhanced agility.
Design-wise, the Turbo S exudes muscular sophistication. Its wider stance, sculpted lines, and Turbonite accents—a exclusive color for Turbo variants—highlight its prowess. The front features a floating body-colored wing and dark recessed band for a grille-less look, while the rear’s integrated vents and oval titanium exhausts (optional) emphasize width and aerodynamics. Active elements, like the rear mobile wing, adjust for low-drag highway cruising or high-downforce track runs, generating 110 kg of downforce at 250 km/h with minimal drag penalty. New 325/30 ZR 21 rear tires (10 mm wider) and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes ensure grip and stopping power.
Inside, the dual-cockpit layout immerses driver and passenger in premium luxury. A new steering wheel with physical buttons and the iconic start button pairs with a 15.6-inch digital cluster and 10.25-inch central touchscreen for intuitive HMI. Turbonite accents the dash, doors, and Sport Chrono stopwatch, while 18-way Sport Seats Plus offer massage functions. Optional rear seats make it a 2+2, and the perforated Race-Tex headliner adds sporty flair. Connectivity shines with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the MyFerrari Connect app for remote monitoring.
Vehicle dynamics are refined for versatility. Brake-by-wire and ABS Evo (adapted from the 296 GTB) optimize stopping across surfaces, while Side Slip Control (SSC) 6.1 integrates steering, torque, and suspension for precise handling. The electric power steering (EPS) grip estimation reacts 10% faster, even on low-traction roads. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and rear-axle steering ensure composure on highways or tracks.
Customization abounds through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, with Paint to Sample colors, carbon fiber wipers, and Turbonite wheels. The matching Porsche Design chronograph, with a Turbonite dial and vehicle-leather strap, extends the luxury to your wrist.
Starting at $270,300 for the coupe and $284,300 for the Cabriolet (excluding $2,350 delivery fee), the 911 Turbo S is for those seeking the ultimate 911 experience. It’s not just a car—it’s a symphony of power, precision, and prestige, ready to thrill.
THE PATENTED BACK APPLICATOR REVOLUTIONIZING SELF-CARE
My name is Kathe D’Alfonso, and I’m excited to introduce “Solo Beauty.” This is my U.S. Patented & USA-made back applicator, featuring a unique angle designed to reach those tricky spots we struggle with when applying lotion or showering. As a melanoma survivor of 30 years (celebrating this May), I wanted a hassle-free way to apply sunscreen to my back. After testing market products that fell short, I redesigned eight prototypes to create the perfect solution.
The angle I crafted is a game-changer, with users exclaiming, “OHHH, I can
finally reach those tough spots!”—like over the shoulders, mid-back, feet, and legs. The luxurious mitts, which fit snugly over the applicator, are washable, dryable, and reusable multiple times, adding to its appeal. When I began marketing on TV, print, and at a local farm market, the response was overwhelming: “I love this!” This enthusiasm drove me to make Solo Beauty widely available.
I’ve been deeply touched by the gratitude from customers, especially those it helps most. I love engaging with callers, patiently answering questions, and discovered its
value for people with PT, arthritis, MS, Parkinson’s, limited mobility, or those living alone. Solo Beauty truly simplifies lives.
Versatility is key—you can use it for lotions, medications, and soaps! Feel free to call or email me to customize a gift or personal item with your preferred color. Visit SoloBeautyRoc online at www. solobeautyroc.com to explore magazine covers, business sections, and articles showcasing this empowering self-care innovation!

Spooky season is the perfect reminder that sometimes the scariest things aren’t in haunted houses, but in our own daily routines: burnout, sleepless nights, and the ghosts of unfinished to-do lists. This season, instead of letting stress play the villain, here’s how to cast a little magic over your wellness and make October feel both spooky and soothing.
1. Light Your Lantern (or Candle)
Jack-o’-lanterns were originally carved to ward off spirits, but today a simple candle or lantern can help you ward off stress. Dim the lights, strike a match, and let the flicker calm your nervous system. Scented candles with notes of pumpkin, clove, or cedar double as aromatherapy. It is said that using candles as an evening ritual instead of artificial lights before bed can reduce blue light exposure, helping the body produce melatonin naturally.
2. Keep it Moving (Don’t be a zombie)
It might be zombie season, but it is no time to be a zombie. That’s why my friend, we got to keep it moving. Movement as we know it has a powerful effect on overall health. For one, physical activity lowers cortisol (the scary stress hormone) and boost endorphins (the feel-good hormones). It also sharpens focus, boosts mood, improves sleep and also strengthens the heart. So whenever you can, take a walk, do a little dance, partake in a sport or other physical activity, and lead in motion.
3. Avoid poison of all kind
What’s toxic in your life? Take inventory, and when you find your answer, remove! This season we are saying no to anything toxic, also known as poison for the mind, body or soul. After all, not all treats have to be tricks for your body. This can be everything from setting firmer boundaries, to nourishing your body with beneficial nutrients.
4. Face Your Fears (Gently)
Are you ready to confront your fears? In wellness, this can mean acknowledging the habits or thoughts that haunt us. Take a few minutes to journal: What drains your energy? What lifts it? Naming your fears (instead of hiding from them) is the first step to taking their power away. Once you take their power away, you gain your power back, and now you’re back in the driver’s seat.
5. Rest in Peace (Literally)
Instead of staying up late and being deprived of a good night’s rest, choose rest. Trade out the crazy with the calm. A calming read, sip a cup of chamomile “moon tea,” and imagine tucking yourself in like a mummy — cocooned and safe. One of the biggest reasons most people complain of brain fog is due to the lack of rest and sleep, which also contributes to poor memory, a weakened immune system, mood swings, and a risk of chorionic diseases. All the things you don’t want! Instead, make self-care a priority and get those hours of sleep back. Bonus, if you want to stay looking youthful.
The Treat You Deserve
Wellness this season doesn’t mean skipping out on fun, it means finding balance between the sweet and the soulful. When you light your lantern, move your body, brew something warm, face what’s haunting you, and honor your rest, you’re not just celebrating the season. You’re writing your own story where wellness wins - this season, don’t let your body be haunted by your thoughts. When you make time for you, the magic begins.
As autumn shadows lengthen and jacko’-lanterns flicker, Halloween calls for cocktails that are spooky, bold, and full of seasonal flair. These drinks combine eerie visuals, rich autumn flavors, and playful garnishes to set the perfect haunted mood. Whether you’re hosting a costume party or enjoying a quiet night in, these cocktails bring the spirit of the season to every sip.
A deep red cocktail with hand-shaped ice cubes and floating strawberry slices. Vodka, strawberry purée, cranberry juice, and lime create a chillingly delicious mix—perfect for your haunted festivities.
This smoky green cocktail blends apple cider, gin, and a touch of absinthe. Topped with a swirl of dry ice for dramatic fog, it’s a magical centerpiece for any Halloween gathering.
A creamy, spiced martini with pumpkin purée, vanilla vodka, and cinnamon syrup. Garnished with a dusting of nutmeg, it’s cozy, indulgent, and eerily festive.
Autumnal and effervescent, this sparkling cocktail combines hard apple cider, blackcurrant liqueur, and a squeeze of
lemon. Served over ice with floating berries, it’s tart, sweet, and perfect for toasting the season.
A playful twist on a classic, this cocktail features bourbon, a splash of orange liqueur, and a candy corn garnish. Rich, smooth, and just a little mischievous, it’s Halloween in a glass.
With these cocktails, the season’s spookiest flavors and most eye-catching presentations come alive—perfect for haunting your guests in style.
Get into the spooky spirit with the Bloody Hand—a deep red cocktail with hand-shaped ice cubes and floating strawberry slices. Perfectly eerie and delicious, it’s a Halloween drink that’s as fun to look at as it is to sip..
Ingredients
2 oz vodka
1 oz strawberry purée (or muddled fresh strawberries)
1 oz cranberry juice
0.5 oz fresh lime juice
1 tsp simple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
3–4 hand-shaped ice cubes (made in silicone molds)
Strawberry slices for garnish
Instructions
Begin by preparing your hand-shaped ice cubes in advance and freezing them until solid. Slice a few strawberries thinly to tuck inside each ice cube before freezing for an extra spooky effect.
Chill your glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes for an icy finish.
Fill the glass with the hand-shaped ice cubes.
In a shaker, combine vodka, strawberry purée, cranberry juice, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using). Shake well with ice for about 10–15 seconds.
Strain the mixture carefully over the hand-shaped ice cubes, letting the red liquid swirl around the frozen “hands” and reveal the strawberry slices inside.
Garnish with an extra strawberry slice on the rim or floating atop the cocktail.
Serve immediately and watch your guests’ reactions as the hands slowly “bleed” into the glass—perfect for a Halloween celebration that’s both creepy and delicious.

This summer, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi quietly welcomed a baby girl into their lives through adoption. The move caught many by surprise, particularly given Millie’s young age of just 21. The news quickly ignited conversations across social media, with some questioning whether a couple so young was ready for parenthood and others being quick to rally behind the new parents. Needless to say, adoption is a deeply personal choice that many other celebrities like Millie have also embraced. Whether adopting domestically or internationally, these stars have opened their hearts and homes to children, expanding their families in unique and inspiring ways.

She has two biological children: Lourdes, born in 1996 with her then-partner Carlos Leon, and Rocco, born in 2000 during her marriage to filmmaker Guy Ritchie. to their roles as adoptive parents and continue to champion adoption causes.

Screens are part of modern life. From smartphones and tablets to computers and televisions, most people spend several hours daily in front of digital devices. While technology keeps us connected and productive, prolonged screen use can affect our eyes and overall comfort. Understanding the connection between screen time and eye health can help you adopt habits that protect your vision.
Sunali Goyal, MD
EYE PROBLEMS LINKED TO SCREEN USE
Long periods of near work on digital devices can cause eye fatigue, blurred vision, headaches, and difficulty concentrating. This happens because our eyes must work harder to focus on close-up screens for extended times, especially without breaks or in poor lighting.
We blink less often when looking at screens—sometimes 40–50% less—leading to dryness, irritation, and a burning sensation. People who wear contact lenses or already have dry eye are especially prone to discomfort.
Digital devices emit blue light. While it hasn’t been proven to cause permanent damage, it can disrupt sleep by interfering with melatonin production. Excessive evening exposure may make it harder to fall asleep and leave you more fatigued.
Increasing evidence suggests prolonged near work and reduced outdoor time contribute to rising rates of myopia, particularly in children. Too much screen use without breaks may speed its progression.
• Follow the 20-20-20 Rule: Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
• Blink More Often: Remind yourself to blink fully to keep eyes moist.
• Adjust Screens: Use comfortable brightness, increase text size if needed, and reduce glare with anti-reflective coatings.
• Keep Distance: Position screens at arm’s length (20–24 inches) and slightly below eye level.
• Limit Screens Before Bed: Avoid devices an hour before sleep to improve rest.
• Stay Comfortable: Sit with good posture and lighting to reduce strain.
• Use Artificial Tears: Lubricating drops relieve dryness from extended use.
• Schedule Eye Exams: Annual check-ups detect early changes and help you stay proactive.
Children are particularly vulnerable to the effects of excessive device use. Beyond eye strain, research links long hours of near work with higher risks of nearsightedness. Experts recommend:
• At least 2 hours of outdoor activity daily to balance near work.
• Age-appropriate screen limits for recreational use.
• Enforcing the 20-20-20 rule during homework or gaming.
• Ensuring proper lighting and ergonomics at study areas. Encouraging outdoor play not only benefits eye health but also supports overall growth, posture, and mental well-being.
Completely avoiding screens isn’t realistic—but managing how and when you use them makes a difference. For example, switching from a phone to a larger computer screen for long tasks can reduce strain. Keeping your workspace well-lit, drinking enough water, and scheduling screen-free breaks throughout the day also help. Nutrition plays a role too. A diet rich in vitamins A, C, E, lutein, and omega-3 fatty acids supports overall eye health. Simple additions like leafy greens, citrus fruits, nuts, and fish can be protective over time.
Technology is here to stay, and screens will remain part of daily life. The key is to balance convenience with eye comfort. By practicing small, consistent habits—taking breaks, blinking more often, adjusting your work setup, and seeing your eye doctor regularly—you can reduce the risks of digital eye strain, dryness, and vision changes. Protecting your eyes now will ensure clearer, more comfortable vision for years to come.

For Dr. Patricia Mendez-Peralta, that quote is more than inspiration—it is the heart of her work. As a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist, she sees every child as a unique story waiting to be written, and every smile as a chance to make that story brighter.
At Pediatric Dental Group in Winter Park, Dr. Mendez has become known for her vibrant energy and compassionate spirit. She transforms dental visits into positive, even joyful experiences, ensuring children feel safe, cared for, and celebrated. With her dynamic personality and genuine warmth, she creates connections that leave lasting impressions— helping children see the dentist not as something to fear, but as a partner in their health and confidence.
Dr. Mendez’s expertise spans special needs care, dental trauma, sedation dentistry, and the
management of complex oral conditions. But beyond technical skill, what truly defines her is her passion for building trust early, teaching children the value of oral health in ways that feel fun and empowering. Every day, she is fueled by the reward of seeing children grow into confident, healthy individuals who proudly share their smiles.
Outside the office, Dr. Mendez is a lover of movement, style, and adventure. A fitness and fashion enthusiast, she embraces a lifestyle that keeps her energized and balanced. She enjoys traveling, discovering new cuisines, and spending cherished time with her husband, family, and friends.

New York Fashion Week always has its moments, but stepping into Gwyneth Paltrow’s Quarters showroom felt different. It was like being welcomed into the living room of your most stylish friend. This friend just happened to be Oscar winner turned founder and CEO of the lifestyle brand Goop. This September, Goop re-introduced its beloved fashion line, formally G. Label, now rebranded as GWYN. As always with Gwyneth, it was delightfully goopy.
Hosted by GP herself, the interior was styled to perfection. Every corner radiated warmth. The framed photos of Gwyneth as a child with her parents, alongside pictures of her own children, created a thread of nostalgia that soften the polished space. It was as if you’d been invited to her private apartment, curated to make you feel both inspired and at home. And can we talk about the curated tablescape that made us feel like Gwyneth’s houseguests. Think late summer, tomatoes, figs, Japanese, cucumbers, flowers, and trays of glutenfree crackers and hummus. It was an abundant welcoming and just the right bit of aspirational. Even Martha Stewart might have paused and envied at the table or martini. I may have left the party with her signature “boyfriend breakfast” recipe card, so I could try to recreate. “Boyfriend breakfast” is name she gave to the creative meals she made for the people that she loves. And as we moved along, the details revealed themselves like quiet love notes left throughout the rooms.
and familiar. Gwyneth Paltrow has always been able to blur that line, inviting us into her world while simultaneously making us feel like it could be our own. GWYN is an extension of that philosophy. It’s clothes that carry us gracefully through our day while quietly weaving themselves into the story of our lives.
Among this backdrop of comfort and belonging, GWYN’s Fall collection made its quiet debut. The pieces included cashmere knits and jackets, pleated dresses, peacoats, cotton and denim shirts, and impeccably tailored trousers. All pieces were designed with the GWYN woman in mind: elegant, dynamic, and powerful. These clothes move through the rhythms of real life: from a morning school drop off, to a late dinner, all while feeling effortlessly chic. Crafted entirely in Italy, the fabric retains their signature quality, lightweight, cashmere’s sturdy, wools, and refined cottons. The palette stayed close to the timeless essentials: navy, beige, grey and black. Understated, versatile, and designed to last.
That’s what sets GWYN apart. It’s the balance of luxury and belonging. You feel it in the textures of the sweaters, meant to be passed down to the next generation or in the timeless silhouettes that outlast trends, while still feeling modern.
As Gwyneth herself said, “the reintroduction of GWYN is deeply personal. These are not just clothes; they’re pieces for women who do it all, designed to endure the seasons of life.” And much like the space she created for her guests during Fashion Week, GWYN is luxe yet lived-in, elegant yet approachable.
Sitting in Gwyneth’s living room, I mean, showroom I soon realized that GWYN isn’t just about clothing. It’s about a feeling. The warmth of the setting, the nostalgia in the photographs, and the easy elegance of each piece all combined to remind us that luxury can be both aspirational
“I created G. Label in 2016 essentially for myself- a woman with a lot her plate, who wanted to be in her element and comfortable all day, from the carpool lane to work, to a dinner,” said Gwyneth Paltrow, Founder and CEO of goop. “This fall at New York Fashion Week, we are reintroducing the line as GWYN- a name which reflects how intrinsic and personal the brand has become to me. Each piece is still made in Italy, with the same unwavering commitment to beautiful materials and craftsmanship.

“Raising $200,000 in one event is mind-blowing to me and honestly, quite emotional. My goal is for Fashion & Hope to establish itself as a staple in Orlando, an event known not just for the experience it delivers but for the lasting impact it creates.” – J.R. Tanghal
When fashion meets philanthropy, something extraordinary happens. For more than a decade, the Hope for More Foundation has been redefining what it means to give back through dynamic, community-centered events that blend culture, style, and compassion. At the heart of this movement is Fashion & Hope, a runway show that has become one of Orlando’s most anticipated annual fundraisers.
Founded on the principle of helping local families and organizations in innovative ways, the Hope for More Foundation partners with nonprofits to raise funds and awareness through unique events. This year, Fashion & Hope shattered records, raising an astonishing $200,000proof that when community and creativity come together, lives are transformed.
For President of the Hope for More Foundation, J.R. Tanghal, the foundation’s driving force, the mission is deeply personal. “Hope for More’s mission is to partner with non-profits to raise funds and awareness thru non-traditional and unique events,” Tanghal explains. “Working with Give Hope Foundation and their mission to help families facing pediatric cancer matched our mission. The power of helping extends far beyond just the families - we’ve even had models and celebrity models who survived cancer at one stage or another in their life.”
One story that embodies this impact is the long-standing collaboration with designer Claudia Gutierrez, whose son is a cancer survivor. “We met over a decade ago as I was hosting this Fashion Show for MakeA-Wish. Claudia wanted to work together to ensure families going through what she went through always had someone in
their corner. It’s been tremendous to work together this long,” Tanghal reflects.
What started as a Christmas canned food drive has now evolved into a powerhouse nonprofit, known for its signature Anti-Gala and Fashion & Hope events.
“Over the years, we’ve grown to 2–3 events annually, each generating over six figures for local charities,” Tanghal says with pride. The foundation’s newest revival, the Anti Golf tournament, blends philanthropy with playfulness, bringing a fresh audience into the fold.
And none of this would be possible without the volunteers, local businesses, and community partners who bring each event to life. “We 100% could not do any events without their support,” Tanghal emphasizes. “There are so many moving parts… we simply couldn’t do it all. Those who want to get involved can always reach us at hopeformorefoundation.org.”
Now in its 14th year, Fashion & Hope has grown from a small gathering of 150 guests to a sold-out spectacle with more than 600 in attendance. “Raising $200,000 in one event is mind-blowing to me and honestly, quite emotional,” Tanghal admits. “My goal is for Fashion & Hope to establish itself as a staple in Orlando, an event known not just for the experience it delivers but for the lasting impact it creates.”
This year’s runway showcased an impressive lineup of local and national talent, including Downtown Divas, Leonardo’s on 5th Avenue, Frieda
Christine Jewelry by Loretta Josephine, Tommy Bahama, JEFRE’s Runway x Gallery Art in Motion, Hemline Winter Park, Forema, House on Lang, Hugo Boss, Adjectives Market, LaCastro, Labella Intimates, Depalma World, and Claudia Gutierrez Swimwear. For Tanghal, the show feels like family: “Many of these boutiques have been with us for over a decade. It’s like a reunion every year. The event thrives because everyone shares the same mission — using our platforms to do something good for more than just ourselves.”
Beyond the glittering lights and curated fashion, Fashion & Hope is about connection, resilience, and community. For Tanghal, the event has become synonymous with his own journey in philanthropy. “I could talk about this event my entire life. I feel like Fashion & Hope and I are the same thing these days. Starting this as a small promotional event, then watching it grow into its own signature event, it gets the best of me,” he shares. “To have the community come together annually really blows me away. People want to be involved in the show.”
As the Hope for More Foundation continues to grow, one thing remains clear: its heartbeat is the community it serves - families facing unimaginable challenges, designers and volunteers lending their talents, and supporters who believe in the transformative power of giving.
Stay tuned for next year as Fashion for Hope returns again, stronger, with an unstoppable mission to create massive impact in the heart of our city.
