DIGITAL OIL PAINTING

The focus of this project is to create an image just with the art history brush. We had to locate colorful photographs on the internet to use for the project. I downloaded a few pictures to use for this project, a picture of some tulip lamps, some rotary dial phones all lined up, and the last one was a close up of a person’s face covered in different colors of paint. When downloading the different settings for the art history brush, there were many different thicknesses and styles of brush techniques to choose from, assorted by very thin to very large. I had to think about how this painting would look if I was physically painting while covering the digital canvas with the art history brush. We focused on elements of color, shape, texture and principles of movement, variety, and proportion.
