FOOD PANTRY MINISTRY

Feeding our Community one family at a time… Reverend Milton Stubbs, Pastor

The A.M.E. Zion Church of Newburgh

Scriptural Justification

Matthew 25: 35-36

“For I was hungry ad you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Our Purpose

1. To minister to the community’s physical needs by providing the best foods we possibly can.

2. Pray for and encourage the community through the Word of God.

3. Pray for and witness to those who do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

The Need: The Church that I serve is in a food desert.

A food desert is an area where people have very limited access to healthy, affordable food. Somebody living in a food desert faces daily obstacles preventing them from going to a grocery store and buying fresh, nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables.
