The Trinity College Schools of Distinction Award is given to schools that promote and strive for a college-going culture in their school in partnership with parents, students, staff, and the wider community. We are incredibly proud to achieve the Innovation Award for the second year.

The three core practices under which a school applies for the award are Pathways to College, Mentoring and Leadership in Learning. The judges commended St Paul’s on the many initiatives that are taking place in St Paul’s, our commitment to hearing staff and student voices and our dedication to delivering a quality educational experience for all.

ST. PAUL’S ENTRY WINS THE TRINITY COLLEGE TRANSITION YEAR MODERN LANGUAGES POSTER COMPETITION

We were delighted this term to win TCD’s Transition Year Modern Languages Poster Competition on the topic of “Why we would love to be fluent in…..”.

The “drei Gummibärchen” Alaine Aby, Joanna Shodipo and Rana Eldeep came first not only in the German category but also won the overall prize in all language categories. This competition is a Trinity initiative to promote languages at post-primary level in association with the Post Primary Languages Initiative (PPLI), a body that have responsibility for implementing key actions in Languages ConnectIreland's Strategy for Foreign Languages in Education 2017-2026.

The winning students and a guest for each student with their teacher were invited to Trinity College for a prize-giving reception and lunch. Well done girls!
